Muhammad bin Zayd narrates from Umayr, the freed slave of Abi al-Lahm (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: "I took part in the Battle of Khaybar with my masters. They spoke to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about me and told him (peace and blessings be upon him) that I was a slave. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) gave an order and a sword was hung on me, but (being small) I was dragging it along the ground. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered some household goods to be given to me. I presented to him (peace and blessings be upon him) a ruqyah (incantation) with which I used to treat the insane, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered me to discard part of it and keep part of it."

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: (1) It is a "sahih hadith" and the chain is "hasan". Al-Dhahabi mentioned neither criticism nor praise (jarh or ta'dil) of Muhammad bin Nu'aym, but he has been corroborated. Qutaybah refers to Ibn Sa'id. Reference / Source: Al-Tirmidhi (1557) and al-Nasa'i (7493) narrated it through Qutaybah bin Sa'id with this same chain. (1669). Reference / Source: Ahmad (36/21941), Ibn Majah (2855) and Ibn Hibban narrated it through chains from Muhammad bin Zayd bin Muhajir. In the printed edition of Ibn Hibban, "Khaybar" had become "Hunayn", which is a corruption. 6/ 332. Reference / Source: All the students of Hafs bin Ghiyath (Ibn Abi Shaybah, al-Darimi and others) narrated it with the word "Khaybar". Technical note / Defect ('illah): The narration of Ya'qub al-Dawraqi has the word "Hunayn", which is probably his error or a scribal mistake. Repetition: It will come later at no. (2649) through Ahmad bin Hanbal. "Khurthi al-mata'" means household furniture and belongings.
Grading: (1) The chain is "hasan" because of al-Qasim bin Mabrur and Khalid bin Nizar. Reference / Source: Abu Dawud (1173) narrated it through Harun bin Sa'id al-Ayli, called it "gharib" but "jayyid", and said that this hadith is proof for the reading of the people of Madinah (Maliki yawm al-din).
