حدثنا أبو النَّضْر محمد بن محمد بن يوسف الفقيه، حدثنا تمِيم بن محمد، حدثنا عثمان بن أبي شَيْبة، حدثنا أبو خالد الأحمَر، حدثنا عثمان بن حَكيم، عن سعيد بن يَسَار، عن ابن عباسٍ قال: أكثرُ ما كان رسول الله ﷺ يقرأ في رَكعتَي الفجر: ﴿قُولُوا آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْنَا وَمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ﴾ إلى آخر الآية [البقرة: 136]، وفي الركعة الثانية: ﴿قُلْ يَاأَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ تَعَالَوْا إِلَى كَلِمَةٍ سَوَاءٍ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ﴾ إلى قوله: ﴿اشْهَدُوا بِأَنَّا مُسْلِمُونَ﴾ [آل عمران: 64] (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه!

Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that in the two (sunnah) rak'ahs of Fajr, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) most often recited this verse: "Say: We believe in Allah and in what has been sent down to us and what was sent down to Ibrahim (peace be upon him)" [Surah al-Baqarah: 136] to the end of the verse; and in the second rak'ah: "Say: O People of the Book, come to a word that is equitable between us and you" up to His words: "Bear witness that we are Muslims" [Surah Al Imran: 64].
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but they did not record it!

(1) حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد قوي من أجل أبي خالد الأحمر: وهو سليمان بن حيان.
Grading: (1) It is a "sahih hadith"; Abu Khalid al-Ahmar (Sulayman bin Hayyan) is a strong narrator.
وأخرجه مسلم (727) (100) عن أبي بكر بن أبي شيبة، عن أبي خالد الأحمر، بهذا الإسناد. فاستدراك الحاكم له ذهولٌ منه.
Reference / Source: Muslim (727/100) narrated it through the chain of Ibn Abi Shaybah from Abu Khalid. Al-Hakim's including it in al-Mustadrak is an oversight.
وأخرجه أحمد 3/ (2038) و (2045)، ومسلم (727) (99) و (100)، وأبو داود (1259)، والنسائي (1018) و (11093) من طرق عن عثمان بن حكيم، به.
