Musnad Imam Shafi'i 521 — he said: When any of you sees lightning
أَخْبَرَنَا مَنْ لَا أَتَّهِمُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُوَيْمِرٍ الْأَسْلَمِيُّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ: إِذَا رَأَى أَحَدُكُمُ الْبَرْقَ أَوِ الْوَدْقَ فَلَا يُشِيرُ إِلَيْهِ، وَلْيَصِفْ وَلْيَنْعَتْ. أَخْرَجَ الْأَرْبَعَةَ الْأَحَادِيثَ مِنْ كِتَابِ الْعِيدَيْنِ
It is narrated from Urwah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: When any of you sees lightning or rain, he should not point towards it, rather he should abundantly mention its attributes.
