لَوْ تَعْلَمُ الْبَهَائِمُ مِنَ الْمَوْتِ مَا يَعْلَمُ ابْنُ آدَمَ مَا أَكَلْتُمْ سَمِينًا
If animals knew about death what the son of Adam knows, you would not eat fattened meat

1434 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ التُّجِيبِيُّ الصَّفَّارُ، أبنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، هُوَ كَيْلَجَةُ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْجَعْفَرِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أُمِّ صُبَيَّةَ الْجُهَنِيَّةِ، قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَوْ تَعْلَمُ الْبَهَائِمُ مِنَ الْمَوْتِ مَا يَعْلَمُ ابْنُ آدَمَ مَا أَكَلْتُمْ سَمِينًا»
Sayyida Umayyah bint Sabiyyah Juhaniyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If cattle knew death as the son of Adam knows it, you would not eat any fat animal."
