Brief Explanation
Explanation: The meaning is that the realities which Allah Ta'ala has unveiled for me—the terrifying things and the conditions that are before me, those that occur at the time of death and after it, such as the state of the throes of death (alam-i-naza‘), the various punishments of the grave, the horrors of the Day of Judgment, and the calamities of Hell, etc.—if all these were also made manifest to you, and you too were to witness them with your own eyes as I have, then you would forget your comfort and ease, and sorrow would overcome your happiness.
