Musnad of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 11581
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مِنْ خُلَفَائِكُمْ خَلِيفَةٌ يَحْثِي الْمَالَ حَثْيًا ، لَا يَعُدُّهُ عَدًّا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In the last era, there will be a caliph who will give wealth and riches abundantly to the people without counting it.
Hadith 11582
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا إسماعيل , عَنْ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ الصَّرْفِ ، فَقَالَ : يَدٌ بِيَدٍ ؟ قُلْتُ : نَعَمْ , قَالَ : لَا بَأْسَ , فَلَقِيتُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ ، فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ أَنِّي سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ الصَّرْفِ ، فَقَالَ : لَا بَأْسَ , فَقَالَ : أَوَ قَالَ ذَاكَ ؟ أَمَّا إِنَّا سَنَكْتُبُ إِلَيْهِ فَلَنْ يُفْتِيَكُمُوهُ , : فَوَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ جَاءَ بَعْضُ فِتْيَانِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِتَمْرٍ ، فَأَنْكَرَهُ ، فَقَالَ : " كَأَنَّ هَذَا لَيْسَ مِنْ تَمْرِ أَرْضِنَا " , فَقَالَ : كَانَ فِي تَمْرِنَا الْعَامَ بَعْضُ الشَّيْءِ ، وَأَخَذْتُ هَذَا ، وَزِدْتُ بَعْضَ الزِّيَادَةِ ، فَقَالَ : " أَضْعَفْتَ ، أَرْبَيْتَ ، لَا تَقْرَبَنَّ هَذَا ، إِذَا رَابَكَ مِنْ تَمْرِكَ شَيْءٌ فَبِعْهُ ، ثُمَّ اشْتَرِ الَّذِي تُرِيدُ مِنَ التَّمْرِ " .
Abu Nadrah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once I asked Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) about the sale of gold and silver. He replied, "As long as the transaction is hand to hand?" I said, "Yes!" He said, "There is no harm in it." Then I met Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) and I told him that I had asked Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) this question and he had said that there is no harm in it. He said, "Did he say this? We will write him a letter that he should not give this fatwa. By Allah! A young man once brought some dates to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) found the matter somewhat unusual, so he said to him, 'These do not seem to be dates from our area.' He said, 'We gave two sa’ of our dates and took one sa’ of these fine dates.' The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, 'You have engaged in a usurious transaction; do not go near it. When you do not like your own dates, sell them, then buy whatever you wish.'"
Hadith 11583
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ الْجُرَيْرِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : لَمْ نَعْدُ أَنْ فُتِحَتْ خَيْبَرُ ، وَقَعْنَا أَصْحَابَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي تِيكَ الْبَقْلَةِ فِي الثُّومِ ، فَأَكَلْنَا مِنْهَا أَكْلًا شَدِيدًا ، وَنَاسٌ جِيَاعٌ ، ثُمَّ رُحْنَا إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ ، فَوَجَدَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الرِّيحَ ، فَقَالَ : " مَنْ أَكَلَ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْبَقْلَةِ الْخَبِيثَةِ شَيْئًا ، فَلَا يَقْرَبْنَا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ " ، فَقَالَ نَاسٌ : حُرِّمَتْ ، حُرِّمَتْ , فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : " أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ ، إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ لِي تَحْرِيمُ مَا أَحَلَّ اللَّهُ ، وَلَكِنَّهَا شَجَرَةٌ أَكْرَهُ رِيحَهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that after the conquest of Khaybar, we rushed towards this vegetable (garlic) and ate it abundantly, some people were on an empty stomach. When we reached the mosque, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sensed its smell. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever eats from this foul tree should not come near us in our mosques. Upon hearing this, people began to say that garlic has become forbidden, it has become forbidden. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was informed of this, he said: O people! I do not have the authority to declare forbidden what Allah has declared lawful. However, I do not like the smell of this tree.
Hadith 11584
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ لَا يُصِيبُهُ وصَبٌ وَلَا وَنصَبٌ وَلَا حَزَنٌ وَلَا سَقَمٌ وَلَا أَذًى ، حَتَّى الْهَمُّ يُهِمُّهُ إِلَّا اللَّهُ يُكَفِّرُ عَنْهُ مِنْ سَيِّئَاتِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whatever worry, hardship, grief, illness, or sorrow, even those thoughts "which trouble him" reach a Muslim, Allah expiates his sins through them.
Hadith 11585
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ دَخَلَ عَلَى أَبِي سَعِيدٍ وَأَنَا مَعَهُ ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّ هَذَا حَدَّثَنِي حَدِيثًا يَزْعُمُ أَنَّكَ تُحَدِّثُهُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَفَسَمِعْتَهُ ؟ فَقَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " لَا تَبِيعُوا الذَّهَبَ بِالذَّهَبِ ، وَلَا الْوَرِقَ بِالْوَرِقِ ، إِلَّا مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ ، وَلَا تُشِفُّوا بَعْضَهَا عَلَى بَعْضٍ ، وَلَا تَبِيعُوا شَيْئًا غَائِبًا مِنْهَا بِنَاجِزٍ " .
Nafi’ (may Allah have mercy on him) says that a man was narrating to Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) a hadith from Abu Sa’id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding the buying and selling of gold and silver. The man had not yet finished his statement when Abu Sa’id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) himself arrived at his house. Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) took hold of my hand and that man’s hand, and we went to Abu Sa’id (may Allah be pleased with him). He stood up to welcome Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him: “He has narrated a hadith to me, and according to him, you narrated this hadith to him from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Did you really hear this hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?” He replied: “I saw with my own eyes and heard with my own ears the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: ‘Sell gold for gold and silver for silver, equal for equal. Do not increase or decrease, and do not sell something absent for something present among them.’”
Hadith 11586
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْجُلُوسَ عَلَى الطَّرِيقِ " ، وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ مَعْمَرٌ : عَلَى الصُّعُدَاتِ ، قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، لَا بُدَّ لَنَا مِنْ مَجَالِسِنَا , قَالَ : " فَأَدُّوا حَقَّهَا " , قَالُوا : وَمَا حَقُّهَا ؟ قَالَ : " رُدُّوا السَّلَامَ ، وَغُضُّوا الْبَصَرَ ، وَأَرْشِدُوا السَّائِلَ ، وَأْمُرُوا بِالْمَعْرُوفِ ، وَانْهَوْا عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "You people should avoid sitting on the roads." The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) submitted, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! We cannot do without it; in this way, we chat with each other." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "If you cannot avoid sitting, then fulfill the rights of the road." The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! What are the rights of the road?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Lowering the gaze, avoiding causing harm, responding to greetings, enjoining good, and forbidding evil."
Hadith 11587
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ جُدْعَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قال : صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةَ الْعَصْرِ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ بِنَهَارٍ ، ثُمَّ قَامَ فَخَطَبَنَا إِلَى أَنْ غَابَتْ الشَّمْسُ ، فَلَمْ يَدَعْ شَيْئًا مِمَّا يَكُونُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ إِلَّا حَدَّثَنَاهُ ، حَفِظَ ذَلِكَ مَنْ حَفِظَ ، وَنَسِيَ ذَلِكَ مَنْ نَسِيَ ، وَكَانَ ممَا قَالَ : " يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ ، إِنَّ الدُّنْيَا خَضِرَةٌ حُلْوَةٌ ، وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ مُسْتَخْلِفُكُمْ فِيهَا ، فَنَاظِرٌ كَيْفَ تَعْمَلُونَ ، فَاتَّقُوا الدُّنْيَا ، وَاتَّقُوا النِّسَاءَ ، أَلَا إِنَّ لِكُلِّ غَادِرٍ لِوَاءً يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِقَدْرِ غَدْرَتِهِ ، يُنْصَبُ عِنْدَ اسْتِهِ يُجْزَى بِهِ ، وَلَا غَادِرَ أَعْظَمُ مِنْ أَمِيرِ عَامَّةٍ " ، ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ الْأَخْلَاقَ ، فَقَالَ : " يَكُونُ الرَّجُلُ سَرِيعَ الْغَضَبِ ، قَرِيبَ الْفَيْئَةِ ، فَهَذِهِ بِهَذِهِ ، وَيَكُونُ بَطِيءَ الْغَضَبِ ، بَطِيءَ الْفَيْئَةِ ، فَهَذِهِ بِهَذِهِ ، فَخَيْرُهُمْ بَطِيءُ الْغَضَبِ سَرِيعُ الْفَيْئَةِ ، وَشَرُّهُمْ سَرِيعُ الْغَضَبِ بَطِيءُ الْفَيْئَةِ ، قَالَ : وَإِنَّ الْغَضَبَ جَمْرَةٌ فِي قَلْبِ ابْنِ آدَمَ تَتَوَقَّدُ ، أَلَمْ تَرَوْا إِلَى حُمْرَةِ عَيْنَيْهِ ، وَانْتِفَاخِ أَوْدَاجِهِ ، فَإِذَا وَجَدَ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَلِكَ فَلْيَجْلِسْ " أَوْ قَالَ : فَلْيَلْصَقْ بِالْأَرْضِ ، قَالَ : ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ الْمُطَالَبَةَ ، فَقَالَ : " يَكُونُ الرَّجُلُ حَسَنَ الطَّلَبِ ، سَيِّئَ الْقَضَاءِ ، فَهَذِهِ بِهَذِهِ ، وَيَكُونُ حَسَنَ الْقَضَاءِ سَيِّئَ الطَّلَبِ ، فَهَذِهِ بِهَذِهِ ، فَخَيْرُهُمْ الْحَسَنُ الطَّلَبِ الْحَسَنُ الْقَضَاءِ ، وَشَرُّهُمْ السَّيِّئُ الطَّلَبِ السَّيِّئُ الْقَضَاءِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : إِنَّ النَّاسَ خُلِقُوا عَلَى طَبَقَاتٍ ، فَيُولَدُ الرَّجُلُ مُؤْمِنًا ، وَيَعِيشُ مُؤْمِنًا ، وَيَمُوتُ مُؤْمِنًا ، وَيُولَدُ الرَّجُلُ كَافِرًا ، وَيَعِيشُ كَافِرًا ، وَيَمُوتُ كَافِرًا ، وَيُولَدُ الرَّجُلُ مُؤْمِنًا ، وَيَعِيشُ مُؤْمِنًا ، وَيَمُوتُ كَافِرًا ، وَيُولَدُ الرَّجُلُ كَافِرًا ، وَيَعِيشُ كَافِرًا ، وَيَمُوتُ مُؤْمِنًا ، ثُمَّ قَالَ فِي حَدِيثِهِ : وَمَا شَيْءٌ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ كَلِمَةِ عَدْلٍ تُقَالُ عِنْدَ سُلْطَانٍ جَائِرٍ ، فَلَا يَمْنَعَنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ اتِّقَاءُ النَّاسِ أَنْ يَتَكَلَّمَ بِالْحَقِّ إِذَا رَآهُ أَوْ شَهِدَهُ " ، ثُمَّ بَكَى أَبُو سَعِيدٍ ، فَقَالَ : قَدْ وَاللَّهِ مَنَعَنَا ذَلِكَ , قَالَ : " وَإِنَّكُمْ تُتِمُّونَ سَبْعِينَ أُمَّةً أَنْتُمْ خَيْرُهَا وَأَكْرَمُهَا عَلَى اللَّهِ " ، ثُمَّ دَنَتْ الشَّمْسُ أَنْ تَغْرُبَ ، فَقَالَ : " وَإِنَّ مَا بَقِيَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا فِيمَا مَضَى مِنْهَا مِثْلُ مَا بَقِيَ مِنْ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا فِيمَا مَضَى مِنْهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led us in the Asr prayer, and after that, from then until sunset, he continuously delivered a sermon describing the events that will occur until the Day of Judgment: Whoever remembered it, remembered it, and whoever forgot it, forgot it. In this sermon, after praising Allah, among other things, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O people! The world is lush, green, and sweet. Allah will grant you succession in it to see what deeds you perform. Beware of the world and beware of women. Remember! On the Day of Judgment, every deceiver will have a flag according to the extent of his deceit. Remember! The greatest deceiver will be the one who is the general ruler of the whole country. The best person is the one who gets angry late and is pleased quickly, and the worst person is the one who gets angry quickly and is pleased late. And when a person gets angry late and it goes away late, or gets angry quickly and it goes away quickly, then this is equal for him. Then, mentioning character, he said: Anger is a spark that smolders in the belly of the son of Adam. You can see the redness of his eyes and the swelling of his veins at the time of anger. When any of you gets angry, he should lie down on the ground. Remember! The best trader is the one who pays debts in a good manner and demands in a good manner, and the worst trader is the one who pays in a bad manner and demands in a bad manner. And if a person pays in a good manner and demands in a bad manner, or pays in a bad manner and demands in a good manner, then this is equal for him. Then he said: The creation of the children of Adam is in different ranks. Thus, some are born believers, live as believers, and die as believers. Some are born disbelievers, live as disbelievers, and die as disbelievers. Some are born believers, live as believers, and die as disbelievers. And some are born disbelievers, live as disbelievers, and die as believers. Remember! The best jihad is to speak the word of truth before a tyrant ruler. Remember! No person should be prevented by the awe and authority of people from speaking the word of truth when he knows it well. Then, when the time of sunset approached, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Remember! The proportion of the remaining life of the world to the life that has already passed is like the proportion of today to the days that have already passed.
Hadith 11588
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ , قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ مُجَالِدًا يَقُولُ : أَشْهَدُ عَلَى أَبِي الْوَدَّاكِ ، أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ عَلَى أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةِ لَيَرَوْنَ أَهْلَ عِلِّيِّينَ ، كَمَا تَرَوْنَ الْكَوْكَبَ الدُّرِّيَّ فِي أُفُقِ السَّمَاءِ ، وَإِنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ لَمِنْهُمْ وَأَنْعَمَا " , فَقَالَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ مَعَ مُجَالِدٍ عَلَى الطِّنْفِسَةِ : وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ عَلَى عَطِيَّةَ الْعَوْفِيِّ ، أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ عَلَى أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ ذَلِكَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Those with high ranks in Paradise will be seen in such a way as you see the shining stars on the horizon of the sky, and Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) and Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) will also be among them, and both of them will be in bliss and comfort there.
Hadith 11589
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي هِنْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا " أَمَرَنَا النبي صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نَرْجُمَ مَاعِزَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ ، خَرَجْنَا بِهِ إِلَى الْبَقِيعِ ، فَوَاللَّهِ مَا حَفَرْنَا لَهُ ، وَلَا أَوْثَقْنَاهُ ، وَلَكِنَّهُ قَامَ لَنَا ، فَرَمَيْنَاهُ بِالْعِظَامِ وَالْخَزَفِ ، فَاشْتَكَى ، فَخَرَجَ يَشْتَدُّ ، حَتَّى انْتَصَبَ لَنَا فِي عُرْضِ الْحَرَّةِ ، فَرَمَيْنَاهُ بِجَلَامِيدِ الْجَنْدَلِ حَتَّى سَكَتَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered us to stone Hazrat Ma'iz bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), we took him towards Baqi'. By Allah, we neither dug a pit for him nor tied him up; he stood by himself. We threw bones and pieces of pottery at him. When he was hurt, he ran and stood in the plain of Harrah. We threw large stones at him until he became lifeless.
Hadith 11590
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، حَدَّثَنِي الْمُسْتَمِرُّ بْنُ الرَّيَّانِ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نَضْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَطْيَبُ الطِّيبِ الْمِسْكُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Musk is the best of all fragrances.

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيِّا بْنُ عَدِيٍّ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ ، عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ : " مَا بَالُ أَقْوَامٍ تَقُولُ : إِنَّ رَحِمَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَنْفَعُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ؟ ! وَاللَّهِ إِنَّ رَحِمِي لَمَوْصُولَةٌ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ ، وَإِنِّي أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ فَرَطٌ لَكُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that I once heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying on this pulpit: "What is the matter with people who go around saying that the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) kinship will not benefit people? By Allah, my kinship will remain great in both this world and the Hereafter. And O people! I will be waiting for you at the Hawd (Pond) of Kawthar."
Hadith 11592
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ سَهْمِ بْنِ مِنْجَابٍ ، عَنْ قَزَعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تُسَافِرْ امْرَأَةٌ ثَلَاثًا إِلَّا مَعَ ذِي رَحِمٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No woman should undertake a journey of three days without a mahram.
Hadith 11593
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْر ، قَالَ أَبِي : كَذَا قَالَ يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ ، عَنْ قَزَعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تُسَافِرْ امْرَأَةٌ فَوْقَ يَوْمَيْنِ ، إِلَّا وَمَعَهَا زَوْجُهَا ، أَوْ ذُو مَحْرَمٍ مِنْهَا " . وَجَدْتُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ فِي كِتَابِ أَبِي بِخَطِّ يَدِهِ ، وَأَحْسَبُنِي قَدْ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْهُ فِي مَوَاضِعَ أُخَرَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No woman should travel for more than two days without her husband or a mahram.
Hadith 11593M
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، أَخْبَرَنِي إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ النَّاجِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " رَدَّدَ آيَةً حَتَّى أَصْبَحَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) kept repeating a single verse throughout the night until morning came.
Hadith 11594
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي نُعْمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْحَسَنُ وَالْحُسَيْنُ سَيِّدَا شَبَابِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) and Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) are the leaders of the youth of Paradise.
Hadith 11595
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ أَبِي سَلَّامٍ الْحُبْشِيُّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْغَافِرِ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ ، يَقُولُ : جَاءَ بِلَالٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِتَمْرٍ ، فَقَالَ : " مِنْ أَيْنَ لَكَ هَذَا ؟ " , فَقَالَ : كَانَ عِنْدِي تَمْرٌ رَدِيءٌ ، فَبِعْتُهُ بِهَذَا ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَوَّهْ , عَيْنُ الرِّبَا ، عَيْنُ الرِّبَا ، فَلَا تَقْرَبَنَّهُ ، وَلَكِنْ بِعْ تَمْرَكَ بِمَا شِئْتَ ، ثُمَّ اشْتَرِ بِهِ مَا بَدَا لَكَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that once Hazrat Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) brought some dates to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) found something unusual about the matter, so he asked him, "Where did you get these from?" He replied, "I exchanged two sa’ of inferior dates for one sa’ of these good dates." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Oh! This is pure usury, do not go near it. Rather, first sell your own dates, then with that price buy whatever you wish."
Hadith 11596
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، وَأَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ , قَالَا : أَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، وَقَيْسُ بْنُ وَهْبٍ , عَنْ أَبِي الْوَدَّاكِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ فِي سَبْيِ أَوْطَاسٍ : " لَا تُوطَأُ حَامِلٌ " ، قَالَ أَسْوَدُ : " حَتَّى تَضَعَ ، وَلَا غَيْرُ حَامِلٍ حَتَّى تَحِيضَ حَيْضَةً " , قَالَ يَحْيَى : " أَوْ تُسْتَبْرِأَ بِحَيْضَةٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding the captives of the Battle of Autas: No person should have intercourse with a pregnant slave woman until she gives birth, and if she is not pregnant, then he should not have intercourse with her until one menstrual cycle has passed.
Hadith 11597
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ ، عَنْ قَزَعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا وِصَالَ " يَعْنِي فِي الصَّوْمِ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade continuous fasting (Saum Wisal).
Hadith 11598
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ ، وَمُعَاوِيَةُ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ التَّمْرِ وَالزَّبِيبِ ، وَعَنِ الزَّهْوِ وَالتَّمْرِ " ، فَقُلْتُ لِسُلَيْمَانَ : أَنْ يُنْبَذَا جَمِيعًا ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also forbade making nabidh by mixing unripe dates, or dates and raisins together.
Hadith 11599
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَقِيلٍ ، قَالَ : حدثَنَا أَبُو نَضْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : عَامَّةُ طَعَامِ أَهْلِي يَعْنِي الضِّبَابَ ، فَلَمْ يُجِبْهُ ، فَلَمْ يُجَاوِزْ إِلَّا قَرِيبًا ، فَعَاوَدَهُ فَلَمْ يُجِبْهُ ، فَعَاوَدَهُ ثَلَاثًا ، فَقَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى لَعَنَ أَوْ غَضِبَ عَلَى سِبْطٍ مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ ، فَمُسِخُوا دَوَابَّ ، فَلَا أَدْرِي لَعَلَّهُ بَعْضُهَا ، فَلَسْتُ بِآكِلِهَا وَلَا أَنْهَى عَنْهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that a Bedouin man asked in the court of the Prophet, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), often there is lizard for food in our house." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not give him any answer. After a little while, he asked the same question again, but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) still did not answer him. This happened three times in the same way. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "A group from the Children of Israel was cursed or subjected to the wrath of Allah, and their forms were transformed. Perhaps it is that, so I neither command you to eat it nor forbid you."
Hadith 11600
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ الْخَيَّاطُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ الْأَحْوَلُ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ ، يُقَالُ لَهُ فُلَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ ، أَوْ مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ فُلَانٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : " الْمَيِّتُ يَعْرِفُ مَنْ يُغَسِّلُهُ ، وَيَحْمِلُهُ ، وَيُدَلِّيهِ " , قَالَ : فَقُمْتُ مِنْ عِنْدِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ إِلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ ، فَمَرَّ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ ابْنُ عُمَرَ : مِمَّنْ سَمِعْتَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ ؟ قَالَ : مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the deceased recognizes even those who carry him, bathe him, and lower him into the grave. The narrator says that I got up from Hazrat Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) and went to Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) and informed him of this. Coincidentally, Hazrat Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) also passed by there, so Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked him, "From whom did you hear this hadith?" He replied, "From the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)."
Hadith 11601
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا يَنْظُرْ الرَّجُلُ إِلَى عَوْرَةِ الرَّجُلِ ، وَلَا تَنْظُرْ الْمَرْأَةُ إِلَى عَوْرَةِ الْمَرْأَةِ ، وَلَا يُفْضِي الرَّجُلُ إِلَى الرَّجُلِ فِي الثَّوْبِ ، وَلَا تُفْضِي الْمَرْأَةُ إِلَى الْمَرْأَةِ فِي الثَّوْبِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No man should look at the private parts of another man, and no woman should look at the private parts of another woman. No man should lie with another man under a single garment with their bodies naked, and no woman should lie with another woman under a single garment with their bodies naked.
Hadith 11602
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بن حبان ، عَنِ ابْنِ مُحَيْرِيزٍ الشَّامِيِّ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا صِرْمَةَ الْمَازِنِيَّ ، وَأَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ ، يَقُولَانِ : أَصَبْنَا سَبَايَا فِي غَزْوَةِ بَنِي الْمُصْطَلِقِ ، وَهِيَ الْغَزْوَةُ الَّتِي أَصَابَ فِيهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جُوَيْرِيَةَ ، وَكَانَ مِنَّا مَنْ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَتَّخِذَ أَهْلًا ، وَمِنَّا مَنْ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَسْتَمْتِعَ وَيَبِيعَ ، فَتَرَاجَعْنَا فِي الْعَزْلِ ، فَذَكَرْنَا ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : " مَا عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْ لَا تَعْزِلُوا ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدَّرَ مَا هُوَ خَالِقٌ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the expedition of Banu Mustaliq, we obtained captives. This was the same expedition in which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) received Hazrat Juwayriya (may Allah be pleased with her). Some of us intended to keep these slave women in our homes, and some intended to benefit from them and then sell them. Therefore, we asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about coitus interruptus (azl). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no harm if you do not practice azl. Whatever Allah has decreed will surely happen."
Hadith 11603
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُتَوَكِّلِ النَّاجِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَخْلُصُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنَ النَّارِ ، فَيُحْتَبَسُونَ عَلَى قَنْطَرَةٍ بَيْنَ الْجَنَّةِ وَالنَّارِ ، فَيُقْتَصُّ لِبَعْضِهِمْ مِنْ بَعْضٍ مَظَالِمُ كَانَتْ بَيْنَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا ، حَتَّى إِذَا هُذِّبُوا وَنُقُّوا أُذِنَ لَهُمْ فِي دُخُولِ الْجَنَّةِ ، فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَأَحَدُهُمْ أَهْدَى لِمَنْزِلِهِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ مِنْهُ بِمَنْزِلِهِ كَانَ فِي الدُّنْيَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, when the Muslims will be saved from Hell, they will be stopped on a bridge between Paradise and Hell, and retribution will be taken from them for the wrongs and worldly dealings they had with each other. And when they are purified and cleansed, then they will be permitted to enter Paradise. By Him in Whose hand is my soul, each of them will know the way to his house in Paradise better than he knew the way to his house in the world.
Hadith 11604
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سَيَّارٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعَلَّى بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ الْمُزَنِيُّ وَكَانَ وَاللَّهِ مَا عَلِمْتُ شُجَاعًا عِنْدَ اللِّقَاءِ ، بَكَّاءً عِنْدَ الذِّكْرِ , عَنْ أَبِي الصِّدِّيقِ النَّاجِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ فِي حَلْقَةٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ ، إِنَّ بَعْضَنَا لَيَسْتَتِرُ بِبَعْضٍ مِنَ الْعُرْيِ ، وَقَارِئٌ لَنَا يَقْرَأُ عَلَيْنَا ، فَنَحْنُ نَسْمَعُ إِلَى كِتَابِ اللَّهِ ، إِذْ وَقَفَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَقَعَدَ فِينَا لِيَعُدَّ نَفْسَهُ مَعَهُمْ ، فَكَفَّ الْقَارِئُ ، فَقَالَ : " مَا كُنْتُمْ تَقُولُونَ ؟ " , فَقُلْنَا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، كَانَ قَارِئٌ لَنَا يَقْرَأُ عَلَيْنَا كِتَابَ اللَّهِ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِيَدِهِ ، وَحَلَّقَ بِهَا ، يُومِئُ إِلَيْهِمْ أَنْ تَحَلَّقُوا ، فَاسْتَدَارَتْ الْحَلْقَةُ ، فَمَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَرَفَ مِنْهُمْ أَحَدًا غَيْرِي ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ : " أَبْشِرُوا يَا مَعْشَرَ الصَّعَالِيكِ ، تَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ قَبْلَ الْأَغْنِيَاءِ بِنِصْفِ يَوْمٍ ، وَذَلِكَ خَمْسُ مِئَةِ عَامٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that I was sitting in a circle of Ansari companions (may Allah be pleased with them), we were covering our private parts from each other and a Qari (reciter) was reciting the Holy Qur'an in front of us and we were listening to it. Meanwhile, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also arrived and sat among us so that he could count himself among them. The Qari suddenly stopped. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "What were you people saying?" We submitted, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Our Qari was reciting the Holy Qur'an to us." Upon this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gestured with his hand to form a circle, so the people turned into a circle. I saw that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not recognize anyone among them except me and said, "O group of the poor! Rejoice, for you will enter Paradise five hundred years before the rich — which will be half a day of the Day of Resurrection."
Hadith 11605
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ مِغْوَلٍ ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ الْعَوْفِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي لَيَشْفَعُ لِلْفِئَامِ مِنَ النَّاسِ ، فَيَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ بِشَفَاعَتِهِ ، وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَشْفَعُ لِلْقَبِيلَةِ مِنَ النَّاسِ ، فَيَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ بِشَفَاعَتِهِ ، وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَشْفَعُ لِلرَّجُلِ وَأَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ ، فَيَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ بِشَفَاعَتِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A man from my Ummah will intercede for groups of people, and by his blessing they will enter Paradise. Someone will intercede for an entire tribe, someone for ten people, someone for three people, someone for two people, and someone will intercede for one person.
Hadith 11606
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا فُلَيْحٌ ، وَسُرَيْجٌ , قَالَ : حدثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : مَرَّ بِي ابْنُ عُمَرَ ، فَقُلْتُ : مِنْ أَيْنَ أَصْبَحْتَ غَادِيًا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ؟ قَالَ : إِلَى أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، فَانْطَلَقْتُ مَعَهُ ، فَقَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " إِنِّي نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ لُحُومِ الْأَضَاحِيِّ ، وَادِّخَارِهِ بَعْدَ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ ، فَكُلُوا وَادَّخِرُوا ، فَقَدْ جَاءَ اللَّهُ بِالسَّعَةِ ، وَنَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ أَشْيَاءَ مِنَ الْأَشْرِبَةِ وَالْأَنْبِذَةِ ، فَاشْرَبُوا ، وَكُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ ، وَنَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ زِيَارَةِ الْقُبُورِ ، فَإِنْ زُرْتُمُوهَا فَلَا تَقُولُوا هُجْرًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I had forbidden you from keeping the meat of sacrifice for more than three days, now you may eat it and store it for as long as you wish, because Allah has granted abundance. Also, I had forbidden you from certain drinks and vessels, now you may drink from them, but (remember that) every intoxicating thing is forbidden. And I had forbidden you from visiting graveyards, now if you go there, do not say anything inappropriate.
Hadith 11607
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ ، وَبَهْزٌ , قَالَا : حدثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، قَالَ بَهْزٌ : السَّمَّانُ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " إِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ قَالَ بَهْزٌ : إِلَى شَيْءٍ يَسْتُرُهُ مِنَ النَّاسِ فَأَرَادَ أَحَدٌ أَنْ يَجْتَازَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ ، فَلْيَدْفَعْ فِي نَحْرِهِ ، فَإِنْ أَبَى فَلْيُقَاتِلْهُ ، فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ شَيْطَانٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you is praying, he should not let anyone pass in front of him, and he should stop him as much as possible. If he does not stop, then he should fight him, for he is a devil.
Hadith 11608
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ ذَكْوَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا تَسُبُّوا أَصْحَابِي ، فَلَوْ أَنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ أَنْفَقَ مِثْلَ أُحُدٍ ذَهَبًا ، مَا بَلَغَ مُدَّ أَحَدِهِمْ ، وَلَا نَصِيفَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not speak ill of my companions, for if any one of you were to spend gold equal to Mount Uhud, it would not reach the measure of one mudd of theirs, nor even half of it.
Hadith 11609
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنِي شَهْرٌ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ ، وَذُكِرَتْ عِنْدَهُ صَلَاةٌ فِي الطُّورِ ، فقَالَ : قال رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : لَا يَنْبَغِي لِلْمَطِيِّ أَنْ تُشَدَّ رِحَالُهُ إِلَى مَسْجِدٍ يُبْتَغَى فِيهِ الصَّلَاةُ ، غَيْرَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ ، وَالْمَسْجِدِ الْأَقْصَى ، وَمَسْجِدِي هَذَا . (حديث مرفوع) (حديث موقوف) وَلَا يَنْبَغِي لِامْرَأَةٍ دَخَلَتْ الْإِسْلَامَ ، أَنْ تَخْرُجَ مِنْ بَيْتِهَا مُسَافِرَةً إِلَّا مَعَ بَعْلٍ ، أَوْ مَعَ ذِي مَحْرَمٍ مِنْهَا . وَلَا يَنْبَغِي الصَّلَاةُ فِي سَاعَتَيْنِ مِنَ النَّهَارِ : مِنْ بَعْدِ صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ إِلَى أَنْ تَدْخُلَ الشَّمْسُ ، وَلَا بَعْدَ صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ إِلَى أَنْ تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ . (حديث مرفوع) (حديث موقوف) وَلَا يَنْبَغِي الصَّوْمُ فِي يَوْمَيْنِ مِنَ الدَّهْرِ : يَوْمِ الْفِطْرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ ، وَيَوْمِ النَّحْرِ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade preparing a mount for travel specifically to any mosque except three: Masjid al-Haram, the Prophet’s Mosque, and Masjid al-Aqsa. No woman should undertake a journey of three days without a mahram. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade offering nawafil prayers during two times: after the Asr prayer until sunset, and after the Fajr prayer until sunrise. He also forbade fasting on the days of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.
Hadith 11610
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ يعنى ابْنُ زِيَادٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ شَرْفَيْ مَوْلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بن عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عن عبد الله بن عمر قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيُّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا بَيْنَ قَبْرِي وَمِنْبَرِي رَوْضَةٌ مِنْ رِيَاضِ الْجَنَّةِ " . قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ : قَالَ أَبِي : إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ شَرْفَيْ . حَدَّثَنَا عَنْهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ , حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، وَقَالَ عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ : إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ شَرْفَيْ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The area between my house and my pulpit is one of the gardens of Paradise.
Hadith 11611
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَكُونُ فِي أُمَّتِي فِرْقَتَانِ ، يَخْرُجُ بَيْنَهُمَا مَارِقَةٌ ، يَلِي قَتْلَهَا أَوْلَاهُمَا بِالْحَقِّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: My ummah will be divided into two factions, and a group will emerge between these two, which will be killed by the faction that is closer to the truth among the two.
Hadith 11612
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قال : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ .
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
Hadith 11613
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ الْأَسْوَدُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُتَوَكِّلِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا جَاءَ ، وَقَدْ صَلَّى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : " أَلَا رَجُلٌ يَتَصَدَّقُ عَلَى هَذَا ، فَيُصَلِّيَ مَعَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came at a time when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had finished the prayer. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Is there anyone who will give charity to him, that is, pray with him?
Hadith 11614
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَهْدِيُّ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحمَّدُ بْنُ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " يَخْرُجُ أُنَاسٌ مِنْ قِبَلِ الْمَشْرِقِ يَقْرَؤُونَ الْقُرْآنَ ، لَا يُجَاوِزُ تَرَاقِيَهُمْ ، يَمْرُقُونَ مِنَ الدِّينِ كَمَا يَمْرُقُ السَّهْمُ مِنَ الرَّمِيَّةِ ، ثُمَّ لَا يَعُودُونَ فِيهِ حَتَّى يَعُودَ السَّهْمُ عَلَى فُوقِهِ " قِيلَ : مَا سِيمَاهُمْ ؟ قَالَ : " سِيمَاهُمْ التَّحْلِيقُ وَالتَّسْبِيتُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A people will come from the east who will recite the Qur'an, but it will not go beyond their throats, and they will go out of the religion just as an arrow passes through its prey, and they will not return to it until the arrow returns to its bow." Someone asked about their sign, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Their sign will be shaving their heads and setting their hair with sticky substances."
Hadith 11615
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ , وَسَعِيدٌ الْجُرَيْرِيُّ , عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الضِّيَافَةُ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ ، فَمَا كَانَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَهُوَ صَدَقَةٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Hospitality is for three days, after that whatever is given is charity.
Hadith 11616
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ خُلَيْدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لِكُلِّ غَادِرٍ لِوَاءٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عِنْدَ اسْتِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, every deceiver will have a flag at his buttocks in proportion to the extent of his deceit.
Hadith 11617
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حدثَنَا أَبَانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي عُتْبَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَيُحَجَّنَّ الْبَيْتُ ، وَلَيُعْتَمَرَنَّ بَعْدَ خُرُوجِ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Even after the emergence of Gog and Magog, Hajj and Umrah of the House of Allah will continue.
Hadith 11618
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حدثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي نُعْمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْحَسَنُ وَالْحُسَيْنُ سَيِّدَا شَبَابِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ , وَفَاطِمَةُ سَيِّدَةُ نِسَائِهِمْ ، إِلَّا مَا كَانَ لِمَرْيَمَ بِنْتِ عِمْرَانَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) and Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) are the leaders of the youth of Paradise.
Hadith 11619
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ ، قَالَ : حدثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ اللَّيْثِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّ لِي إِبِلًا ، وَإِنِّي أُرِيدُ الْهِجْرَةَ ، فَمَا تَأْمُرُنِي ؟ قَالَ : " هَلْ تَمْنَحُ مِنْهَا ؟ " , قَالَ : نَعَمْ , قَالَ : " وَتُؤَدِّي زَكَاتَهَا ؟ " , قَالَ : نَعَمْ , قَالَ : " وَتَحْلِبُهَا يَوْمَ وِرْدِهَا ؟ " , قَالَ : نَعَمْ , فَقَالَ : " انْطَلِقْ وَاعْمَلْ وَرَاءَ الْبِحَارِ ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَنْ يَتِرَكَ مِنْ عَمَلِكَ شَيْئًا ، وَإِنَّ شَأْنَ الْهِجْرَةِ شَدِيدٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and asked about migration. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Oh brother! The matter of migration is very difficult. Tell me, do you have camels?" He said, "Yes!" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Do you pay their zakat?" He replied, "Yes!" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Do you also give them as gifts to anyone?" He said, "Yes!" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Do you milk them on the day you take them to the watering place?" He said, "Yes!" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Then even if you keep doing these deeds across seven seas, Allah Almighty will not let any of your deeds go to waste."
