Hadith 9274
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَا مِنْ قَوْمٍ يَجْتَمِعُونَ فِي بَيْتٍ مِنْ بُيُوتِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، يَقْرَءُونَ وَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَتَدَارَسُونَهُ بَيْنَهُمْ ، إِلَّا حَفَّتْ بِهِمْ الْمَلَائِكَةُ ، وَغَشِيَتْهُمْ الرَّحْمَةُ ، وَذَكَرَهُمْ اللَّهُ فِيمَنْ عِنْدَهُ ، وَمَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ يَسْلُكُ طَرِيقًا يَلْتَمِسُ بِهِ الْعِلْمَ ، إِلَّا سَهَّلَ اللَّهُ لَهُ بِهِ طَرِيقًا إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ ، وَمَنْ يُبْطِئُ بِهِ عَمَلُهُ لَا يُسْرِعُ بِهِ نَسَبُهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whenever a group of people gathers in one of the houses of Allah, reciting the Holy Qur'an and remembering it among themselves, tranquility descends upon them, the mercy of Allah envelops them, the angels cover them, and Allah mentions them to those angels who are with Him. And whoever sets out on a path seeking knowledge, Allah, due to its blessing, makes the path to Paradise easy for him. And whoever is held back by his deeds, his lineage will not take him forward.
Hadith 9275
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَلِيمٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The breath of the fasting person is more pleasant to Allah than the fragrance of musk.
Hadith 9276
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْمُهَزِّمِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَجٍّ أَوْ عُمْرَةٍ فَاسْتَقْبَلَتْنَا رِجْلٌ مِنْ جَرَادٍ ، فَجَعَلْنَا نَضْرِبُهُنَّ بِسِيَاطِنَا وَعِصِيِّنَا نَقْتُلُهُنَّ ، فَسُقِطَ فِي أَيْدِينَا ، فَقُلْنَا : مَا صَنَعْنَا وَنَحْنُ مُحْرِمُونَ ؟ ! ، فَسَأَلْنَا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَقَالَ : " لَا بَأْسَ , صَيْدُ الْبَحْرِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were with the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) on the occasion of Hajj or Umrah, when on the way we saw a swarm of locusts. We started hitting them with our whips and sticks, and they began to fall one by one in front of us. We thought, since we are in the state of Ihram, what should we do about them? Then we asked the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and he said: "There is no harm in hunting from the sea."
Hadith 9277
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَمَّنْ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، سمعتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " طَعَامُ الْوَاحِدِ يَكْفِي الِاثْنَيْنِ ، وَطَعَامُ الِاثْنَيْنِ يَكْفِي الْأَرْبَعَةَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: The food of one person is sufficient for two, and the food of two persons is sufficient for four persons.
Hadith 9278
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ رِيَاحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " بَادِرُوا بِالْأَعْمَالِ سِتًّا طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا ، وَالدَّجَّالَ ، وَالدُّخَانَ ، وَدَابَّةَ الْأَرْضِ ، وَخُوَيْصَّةَ أَحَدِكُمْ ، وَأَمْرَ الْعَامَّةِ " ، وَكَانَ قَتَادَةُ يَقُولُ إِذَا قَالَ : " وَأَمْرَ الْعَامَّةِ " ، قَالَ : أَيْ أَمْرُ السَّاعَةِ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Hasten to perform righteous deeds before six events occur: the rising of the sun from the west, the emergence of the Dajjal, the appearance of smoke, the emergence of the Beast of the earth, the death of a particular person among you, or the general death of all."
Hadith 9279
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِيمَا يَحْسِبُ حَمَّادٌ , قَالَ : " إِنَّهُ مَنْ يَدْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَ يَنْعَمْ وَلَا يَبْؤَُسْ ، لَا تَبْلَى ثِيَابُهُ ، وَلَا يَفْنَى شَبَابُهُ ، فِي الْجَنَّةِ مَا لَا عَيْنٌ رَأَتْ ، وَلَا أُذُنٌ سَمِعَتْ ، وَلَا خَطَرَ عَلَى قَلْبِ بَشَرٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever enters Paradise will live in luxury and comfort, will not be distressed, his clothes will not wear out, and his youth will not fade away. And in Paradise there will be such things that no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human heart has ever imagined.
Hadith 9280
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ وَاسِعٍ ، عَنْ شُتَيْرِ بْنِ نَهَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " حُسْنُ الظَّنِّ مِنْ حُسْنِ الْعِبَادَةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Having a good opinion (of Allah) is also a part of good worship.
Hadith 9281
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا خُثَيْمُ بْنُ عِرَاكِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَيْسَ فِي عَبْدِ الرَّجُلِ ، وَلَا فِي فَرَسِهِ صَدَقَةٌ " .
It is narrated marfu‘an from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that there is no zakat on a Muslim's horse and slave.
Hadith 9282
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِيمَا يَحْسِبُ حَمَّادٌ : " أَنَّ رَجُلًا كَانَ يَبِيعُ الْخَمْرَ فِي سَفِينَةٍ ، وَمَعَهُ فِي السَّفِينَةِ قِرْدٌ ، فَكَانَ يَشُوبُ الْخَمْرَ بِالْمَاءِ ، قَالَ فَأَخَذَ الْقِرْدُ الْكِيسَ ، ثُمَّ صَعِدَ بِهِ فَوْقَ الذَّرْوِْ ، وَفَتَحَ الْكِيسَ ، فَجَعَلَ يَأْخُذُ دِينَارًا فَيُلْقِهِ فِي السَّفِينَةِ ، وَدِينَارًا فِي الْبَحْرِ حَتَّى جَعَلَهُ نِصْفَيْنِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A man, in connection with trade, boarded a boat carrying wine. There was also a monkey with him. Whenever the man sold the wine, he would first mix water into it and then sell it. One day, the monkey grabbed his purse of money and climbed up a tree. The monkey began throwing one dinar into the sea and another into his owner's boat, until he had divided them equally. (From here, the saying became famous: the milk was separated from the water, and the water from the milk.)
Hadith 9283
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ رَأَى رَجُلًا مُبَقَّعَ الرِّجْلَيْنِ ، فَقَالَ أَحْسِنُوا الْوُضُوءَ ، فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " وَيْلٌ لِلْعَقِبِ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
Muhammad bin Ziyad reports that Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) saw a man who had left his heels dry. Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Perform ablution thoroughly, for I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'Woe to the heels from the fire of Hell.'"
Hadith 9284
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا صَاحِبٌ لَنَا ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ : " نَهَى عَنْ صَوْمِ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ إِلَّا صَوْمًا مُتَتَابِعًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade fasting on Friday alone, except if it is included among continuous fasts.
Hadith 9285
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْقُرَشِيِّ ، أَوْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْقُرَشِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة : أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَدْعُو فِي دُبُرِ صَلَاةِ الظُّهْرِ : " اللَّهُمَّ خَلِّصْ الْوَلِيدَ بْنَ الْوَلِيدِ ، وَسَلَمَةَ بْنَ هِشَامٍ ، وَعَيَّاشَ بْنَ أَبِي رَبِيعَةَ ، وَضَعَفَةَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ مِنْ أَيْدِي الْمُشْرِكِينَ الَّذِينَ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ حِيلَةً , وَلَا يَهْتَدُونَ سَبِيلًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to supplicate after the Zuhr prayer: O Allah, grant deliverance to Waleed bin Waleed, Salamah bin Hisham, Ayyash bin Abi Rabi’ah, and the other weak ones of Makkah Mukarramah from the oppression and tyranny of the Quraysh, those who can find neither means nor a way.
Hadith 9286
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، عَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الْإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ ، وَالْكُفْرُ قِبَلَ الْمَشْرِقِ ، وَالسَّكِينَةُ فِي أَهْلِ الْغَنَمِ ، وَالْفَخْرُ وَالرِّيَاءُ فِي الْفَدَّادِينَ ، يَأْتِي الْمَسِيحُ مِنْ قِبَلِ الْمَشْرِقِ وَهِمَّتُهُ الْمَدِينَةَ ، حَتَّى إِذَا جَاءَ دُبُرَ أُحُدٍ ، ضَرَبَت الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَجْهَهُ قِبَلَ الشَّامِ ، وهُنَالِكَ يَهْلِكُ " ، وَقَالَ مَرَّةً : " صَرَفَت الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَجْهَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Faith (and wisdom) is very excellent among the people of Yemen. Disbelief is on the eastern side. Calmness and tranquility are found among the owners of sheep, while hardness of hearts is found among the owners of camels. The Messiah Dajjal will come from the east and his destination will be Madinah Munawwarah, until he comes and camps behind Uhud. Then the angels will turn him towards Syria, and there he will be destroyed.
Hadith 9287
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " لَا تَقَدَّمُوا بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَمَضَانَ بِصَوْمِ يَوْمٍ وَلَا يَوْمَيْنِ ، إِلَّا رَجُلٌ كَانَ صِيَامَهُ ، فَلْيَصُمْهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Do not fast one or two days before Ramadan, except for a person who has a habit of fasting, then he may fast.
Hadith 9288
قَالَ : وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ قَامَ رَمَضَانَ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا ، فَإِنَّهُ يُغْفَرُ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ " .
And the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever stands (in prayer) during Ramadan with faith and seeking reward, all his past sins are forgiven.
Hadith 9289
وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ قَامَ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا ، فَإِنَّهُ يُغْفَرُ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ " . قَالَ عَفَّانُ : وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ فِي هَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ بِمِثْلِهِ .
And the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever stands (in prayer) during the Night of Qadr with faith and seeking reward, all his past sins will be forgiven.
Hadith 9290
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا حَكِيمٌ الْأَثْرَمُ ، عَنْ أَبِي تَمِيمَةَ الْهُجَيْمِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ أَتَى حَائِضًا ، أَوْ امْرَأَةً فِي دُبُرِهَا ، أَوْ كَاهِنًا فَصَدَّقَهُ ، فَقَدْ بَرِئَ مِمَّا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever has intercourse with a menstruating woman, or has intercourse with a woman in her back passage, or affirms the truth of a soothsayer, then it is as if he has disassociated himself from the Shariah revealed to Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).
Hadith 9291
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ حَمَّادٌ : وَلَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا رَفَعَهُ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ حَمَّادٌ : أُرَاهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَنَّ رَجُلًا زَارَ أَخًا لَهُ فِي قَرْيَةٍ أُخْرَى ، فَأَرْصَدَ اللَّهُ عَلَى مَدْرَجَتِهِ مَلَكًا ، فَلَمَّا أَتَى عَلَيْهِ ، قَالَ الْمَلَكُ : أَيْنَ تُرِيدُ ؟ . قَالَ : أَزُورُ أَخًا لِي فِي هَذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ . قَالَ : هَلْ لَهُ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ نِعْمَةٍ تَرُبُّهَا ؟ . قَالَ : لَا ، إِلَّا أَنِّي أَحْبَبْتُهُ فِي اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ . قَالَ : فَإِنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِلَيْكَ ، إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَدْ أَحَبَّكَ كَمَا أَحْبَبْتَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A man set out to visit his religious brother who lived in another village. Allah appointed an angel on his way. When he passed by the angel, the angel asked him, "Where are you going?" He replied, "I am going to meet such-and-such a man." The angel asked, "Is there any kinship between you two?" He said, "No." The angel asked, "Has he done any favor to you for which you are going to him?" He said, "No." The angel asked, "Then why are you going to him?" He said, "I love him for the sake of Allah's pleasure." The angel said, "I have come to you as a messenger from Allah that Allah loves you because of your love for him."
Hadith 9292
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الْمَقْبَرَةِ ، فَسَلَّمَ عَلَى أَهْلِهَا ، قَالَ : " سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكُمْ دَارَ قَوْمٍ مُؤْمِنِينَ ، وَإِنَّا إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ بِكُمْ لَاحِقُونَ ، وَدِدْتُ أَنَّا قَدْ رَأَيْنَا إِخْوَانَنَا " . قَالُوا : أَوَلَسْنَا إِخْوَانَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ ، قَالَ : " بَلْ أَنْتُمْ أَصْحَابِي ، وَإِخْوَانِي الَّذِينَ لَمْ يَأْتُوا بَعْدُ ، وَأَنَا فَرَطُكُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ " . قَالُوا : وَكَيْفَ تَعْرِفُ مَنْ لَمْ يَأْتِ بَعْدُ مِنْ أُمَّتِكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ ، قَالَ : " أَرَأَيْتَ لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلًا لَهُ خَيْلٌ غُرٌّ مُحَجَّلَةٌ بَيْنَ ظَهْرَيْ خَيْلٍ دُهْمٍ بُهْمٍ ، أَلَا يَعْرِفُ خَيْلَهُ ؟ " . قَالُوا : بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ . قَالَ : " فَإِنَّهُمْ يَأْتُونَ غُرًّا مُحَجَّلِينَ مِنَ الْوُضُوءِ ، يَقُولُهَا ثَلَاثًا ، وَأَنَا فَرَطهُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ ، أَلَا لَيُذَادَنَّ رِجَالٌ عَنْ حَوْضِي كَمَا يُذَادُ الْبَعِيرُ الضَّالُّ ، أُنَادِيهِمْ أَلَا هَلُمَّ ، فَيُقَالُ : إِنَّهُمْ قَدْ بَدَّلُوا بَعْدَكَ . فَأَقُولُ : سُحْقًا ، سُحْقًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went to the graveyard. Upon reaching there, he greeted the inhabitants of the graves and said: "Peace be upon you, O dwellers of the abode of the believers! InshaAllah, we too shall join you." Then he said: "I wish that we could see our brothers." The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said: "O Messenger of Allah, are we not your brothers?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "You are my companions; my brothers are those who have not yet come, and I will be waiting for them at the Hawd (Pond) of Kawthar." The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked: "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), how will you recognize those of your followers who have not yet come?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Tell me, if a man has a horse with a white, radiant forehead among black horses, will he not recognize his horse?" The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) replied: "Why not!" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Then those people will also come on the Day of Resurrection with radiant, white foreheads due to the effects of ablution, and I will be waiting for them at the Hawd of Kawthar." Then he said: "Remember, some people among you will be driven away from my Hawd just as a lost camel is driven away. I will call out to them: 'Come here!' But it will be said: 'They changed the religion after you.' So I will say: 'Away with them, away with them!'"
Hadith 9293
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَزْرَقِ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ مَعَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ جَالِسًا ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ بِالسُّوقِ ، فَمُرَّ بِجِنَازَةٍ يُبْكَى عَلَيْهَا ، فَعَابَ ذَلِكَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ وَانْتَهَرَهُمْ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ سَلَمَةُ بْنُ الْأَزْرَقِ : لَا تَقُلْ ذَلِكَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، فَأَشْهَدُ عَلَى أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ لَسَمِعْتُهُ يقول ، وَتُوُفِّيَتْ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ كَنَائِنِ مَرْوَانَ ، فَشَهِدَهَا مَرْوَانُ ، فَأَمَرَ بِالنِّسَاءِ اللَّاتِي يَبْكِينَ , فَضُرِبْنَ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : دَعْهُنَّ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ ، فَإِنَّهُ مُرَّ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِجِنَازَةٍ يُبْكَى عَلَيْهَا ، وَأَنَا مَعَهُ وَمَعَهُ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ ، فَانْتَهَرَ عُمَرُ اللَّاتِي يَبْكِينَ مَعَ الْجِنَازَةِ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " دَعْهُنَّ يَا ابْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ، فَإِنَّ النَّفْسَ مُصَابَةٌ ، وَإِنَّ الْعَيْنَ دَامِعَةٌ ، وَإِنَّ الْعَهْدَ لَحَدِيثٌ " . قَالَ : أَنْتَ سَمِعْتَهُ ؟ ، فَقَالَ : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ .
Muhammad bin Amr, may Allah have mercy on him, says that once Salamah bin Azraq was sitting with Hazrat Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, in the market when a funeral passed by, behind which the sound of weeping was coming. Hazrat Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, considered it blameworthy and scolded them. Salamah bin Azraq said, "Do not say so; I bear witness regarding Hazrat Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that once a woman from the family of Marwan died, and the women gathered and began to weep over her. Marwan said, 'Abdul Malik, go and forbid these women from weeping.' Hazrat Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, was present there. I myself heard him say, 'Abu Abdul Malik, leave it. Once a funeral passed in front of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, over which there was weeping. I was present with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, at that time, and Hazrat Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, was also there. He scolded the women who were weeping with the funeral, so the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "O Ibn Khattab, leave it, for the eye sheds tears and the heart grieves, and the wound is still fresh."' They asked, 'Did you yourself hear this narration from Hazrat Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him?' He replied, 'Yes.' Upon this, they said, 'Allah and His Messenger know best.'"
Hadith 9294
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ الْعَطَّارُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَثِيرٍ الْغُبَرِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ : " الْخَمْرُ مِنْ هَاتَيْنِ الشَّجَرَتَيْنِ : مِنَ النَّخْلَةِ ، وَالْعِنَبَةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Wine is made from these two trees: one is the date-palm and the other is the grapevine.
Hadith 9295
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مَهْدِيُّ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بن جعفر صَاحِبُ الزِّيَادِيِّ ، عَنْ شَيْخٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ البصرة ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يَمُوتُ فَيَشْهَدُ لَهُ ثَلَاثَةُ أَهْلِ أَبْيَاتٍ مِنْ جِيرَانِهِ الْأَدْنَيْنَ بِخَيْرٍ ، إِلَّا قَال اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : قَدْ قَبِلْتُ شَهَادَةَ عِبَادِي عَلَى مَا عَلِمُوا ، وَغَفَرْتُ لَهُ مَا أَعْلَمُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If a Muslim servant passes away and three close neighbors testify to his goodness, Allah says: I have accepted the testimony of My servants according to their knowledge, and according to My knowledge, what I knew I have concealed and forgiven him.
Hadith 9296
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ مَعْمَرٌ : وَزَادَنِي غَيْرُ هَمَّامٍ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قال : " أَكْذَبُ النَّاسِ الصُّنَّاعُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Among the people, the most dishonest are craftsmen (or laborers).
Hadith 9297
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ الْغُبَرِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْخَمْرُ مِنْ هَاتَيْنِ الشَّجَرَتَيْنِ : النَّخْلَةِ , وَالْعِنَبَةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Wine is made from these two trees: one is the date-palm and the other is the grapevine.
Hadith 9298
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ : أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّ امْرَأَتِي وَلَدَتْ غُلَامًا أَسْوَدَ . فَقَالَ : " هَلْ لَكَ مِنْ إِبِلٍ ؟ " . قَالَ : نَعَمْ . قَالَ : " فَمَا أَلْوَانُهَا ؟ " . قَالَ : رُمْكٌ . قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أليسَ رُبمَّا جَاءَتْ بِالْبَعِيرِ الْأَوْرَقِ ؟ " . قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، نَعَمْ . قَالَ : " فَأَنَّى تَرَى ذَلِكَ ؟ " . قَالَ : أُرَاهُ نَزَعَهُ عِرْقٌ . فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " وَهَذَا نَزَعَهُ عِرْقٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man from Banu Fazarah came to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! My wife has given birth to a child of dark complexion." In fact, he wanted to present a request before the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) not to establish the lineage of the child himself. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him, "Do you have camels?" He said, "Yes!" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "What is their color?" He said, "Red." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Is there any camel among them of grayish color?" He said, "Yes, there is a grayish colored camel among them." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "How did the grayish colored camel come among the red camels?" He said, "Perhaps some vein has drawn this color." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Then regarding this child, also understand that perhaps some vein has drawn this color."
Hadith 9299
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الزُّرَقِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : كُنَّا مَعَ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ بِطَرِيقِ مَكَّةَ إِذْ هَاجَتْ رِيحٌ ، فَقَالَ لِمَنْ حَوْلَهُ : الرِّيحَ . قَالَ : فَلَمْ يَرُدُّوا إليه شَيْئًا . قَالَ : فَبَلَغَنِي الَّذِي سَأَلَ عَنْهُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ ، فَاسْتَحْثَثْتُ رَاحِلَتِي حَتَّى أَدْرَكْتُهُ ، فَقُلْتُ : يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ بَلَغَنِي أَنَّكَ سَأَلْتَ عَنِ الرِّيحِ ، وَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " الرِّيحُ مِنْ رَوْحِ اللَّهِ ، فَلَا تَسُبُّوهَا ، وَسَلُوا خَيْرَهَا ، وَاسْتَعِيذُوا بِهِ مِنْ شَرِّهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once Hazrat Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with him) was going for Hajj, and on the way to Makkah Mukarramah, a strong wind overtook the people. The people became worried because of it. Hazrat Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with him) said to his companions, "Who among you will narrate to us a hadith regarding the wind?" No one gave him any answer. I found out that Hazrat Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with him) had asked the people about a hadith of this nature, so I hastened my mount until I reached him and said, "O Commander of the Faithful! I have learned that you have asked about a hadith regarding the wind. I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'The wind, that is, the strong wind, is a mercy from Allah. Sometimes it brings mercy and sometimes it brings hardship. When you see it, do not speak ill of it, but rather ask Allah for its good and seek refuge with Allah from its evil.'"
Hadith 9300
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ يَزِيدَ بْنَ الْأَصَمِّ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ بِالْمَدِينَةِ مَعَ مَرْوَانَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ ، وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، فَمَرَّتْ بِهِمَا جِنَازَةٌ ، فَقَامَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ وَلَمْ يَقُمْ مَرْوَانُ ، فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : " إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّتْ بِهِ جِنَازَةٌ , فَقَامَ " . فَقَامَ عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ مَرْوَانُ .
Yazid bin Asam (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once I was in Madinah Munawwarah with Marwan bin Hakam and Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him). A funeral passed by both of them. Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up, but Marwan did not stand. Upon this, Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "I saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), when a funeral passed by him, he stood up." Hearing this, Marwan also stood up.
Hadith 9301
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنْ الْفَرَعِ وَالْعَتِيرَةِ " . قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ : وَقَدْ سَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْ مَعْمَرٍ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade offering sacrifice in the month of Rajab and sacrificing the first offspring of an animal in the name of idols.
Hadith 9302
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " الْوَلَدُ لِصَاحِبِ الْفِرَاشِ ، وَلِلْعَاهِرِ الْحَجَرُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The child belongs to the (owner of the) bed, and for the adulterer there are stones."
Hadith 9303
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يُحَدِّثُ , أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ دَعْوَةٌ دَعَا بِهَا فِي أُمَّتِهِ ، فَتُسْتَجَابُ لَهُ ، وَإِنِّي أُرِيدُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْ أُؤَخِّرَ دَعْوَتِي شَفَاعَةً لِأُمَّتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Every prophet has a supplication that is certainly accepted, and I have reserved my supplication for the intercession of my Ummah on the Day of Resurrection.
Hadith 9304
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : كَانَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ يَأْتِي عَلَى النَّاسِ وَهُمْ يَتَوَضَّئُونَ فِي الْمَطْهَرَةِ ، فَيَقُولُ لَهُمْ : أَسْبِغُوا الْوُضُوءَ ، أَسْبِغُوا الْوُضُوءَ ، فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " وَيْلٌ لِلْأَعْقَابِ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
Muhammad bin Ziyad says that Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) saw a man who had left his heels dry. Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Perform ablution thoroughly, for I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'Woe to the heels from the fire of Hell.'"
Hadith 9305
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ مَرْوَانُ يَسْتَعْمِلُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ عَلَى الْمَدِينَةِ ، قَالَ : فَكَانَ إِذَا رَأَى إِنْسَانًا يَجُرُّ إِزَارَهُ ، ضَرَبَ بِرِجْلِهِ ، ثُمَّ يَقُولُ : قَدْ جَاءَ الْأَمِيرُ ، قَدْ جَاءَ الْأَمِيرُ ، ثُمَّ يَقُولُ : قَالَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَنْظُرُ اللَّهُ إِلَى مَنْ جَرَّ إِزَارَهُ بَطَرًا " .
Muhammad bin Ziyad says that Marwan used to appoint Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) as the governor of Madinah Munawwarah. Whenever Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) saw a man dragging his lower garment on the ground, he would strike his leg and then say, "The leader has come, the leader has come," and would say that Abu al-Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever, out of arrogance, drags his izar (lower garment) on the ground, Allah will not look at him with mercy."
Hadith 9306
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " أَحْفِهِمَا جَمِيعًا أَوْ انْعَلْهُمَا جَمِيعًا ، فَإِذَا لَبِسْتَ فَابْدَأْ بِالْيَمِنى ، وَإِذَا خَلَعْتَ فَابْدَأْ بِالْيُسْرَى " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Wear both shoes or take off both. When any one of you puts on shoes, he should start with the right foot, and when he takes them off, he should take off the left foot first.
Hadith 9307
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا جَاءَ أَحَدَكُمْ خَادِمُهُ بِطَعَامٍه ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يُجْلِسْهُ مَعَهُ ، فَلْيُنَاوِلْهُ أُكْلَةً أَوْ أُكْلَتَيْنِ ، أَوْ لُقْمَةً أَوْ لُقْمَتَيْنِ ، شُعْبَةُ شَكَّ ، فَإِنَّهُ وَلِيَ عِلَاجَهُ وَحَرَّهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you has a servant who has taken care of preparing the food for him, he should make him sit with him and feed him. If he cannot do so, then he should give him one or two morsels (of food).
Hadith 9308
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنَّ الْحَسَنَ أَخَذَ تَمْرَةً مِنْ تَمْرِ الصَّدَقَةِ ، فَجَعَلَهَا فِي فِيهِ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كِخْ كِخْ أَلْقِهَا ، أَمَا شَعَرْتَ أَنَّا أَهْلَ بَيْتٍ لَا نَأْكُلُ الصَّدَقَةَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once Hazrat Imam Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) took a date of charity and put it in his mouth. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Take it out! Do you not know that we, the family of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), do not eat charity?"
Hadith 9309
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ : " لَوْ أَنَّ الْأَنْصَارَ سَلَكُوا وَادِيًا أَوْ شِعْبًا ، وَسَلَكَ النَّاسُ وَادِيًا أَوْ شِعْبًا لَسَلَكْتُ وَادِيَ الْأَنْصَارِ ، وَلَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ لَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ " . قَالَ : فَكَانَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : مَا ظَلَمَ بِأَبِي وَأُمِّي , لَقَدْ آوَوْهُ وَنَصَرُوهُ , وَكَلِمَةً أُخْرَى .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If people were walking in one valley and the Ansar in another valley, then I would walk with the Ansar in their valley. If there had been no migration, I would have been one of the Ansar.
Hadith 9310
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " لَا تُصَرُّوا الْإِبِلَ وَالْغَنَمَ ، فَمَنِ اشْتَرَى مُصَرَّاةً فَهُوَ بِأَحَدِ النَّظَرَيْنِ ، إِنْ شَاءَ رَدَّهَا وَرَدَّ مَعَهَا صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ " . قَالَ : " وَلَا يَبِيعُ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى بَيْعِ أَخِيهِ ، وَلَا تَسْأَلُ الْمَرْأَةُ طَلَاقَ أُخْتِهَا لِتَكْتَفِئَ مَا فِي صَحْفَتِهَا ، فَإِنَّ مَالَهَا مَا كُتِبَ لَهَا ، وَلَا تَنَاجَشُوا ، وَلَا تَلَقَّوْا الْأَجْلَابَ " .
It is narrated marfu‘an from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that do not tie the udders of a goat or she-camel in order to sell it at a good price. Whoever (being deceived by this) buys such a she-camel or goat, he has the choice of two things, whichever is better for him: either he keeps the animal with himself (and settles the matter), or he returns the animal to the owner and gives along with it one sa‘ of dates. No man should sell over his brother’s sale, and no woman should demand the divorce of her sister so that she may gather what is in her bowl, for she will only get what has been written for her. And do not deceive one another, and do not make deals with traders by meeting them outside (the market).
Hadith 9311
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ حَجَّ هَذَا الْبَيْتَ فَلَمْ يَرْفُثْ ، وَلَمْ يَفْسُقْ رَجَعَ كَمَا وَلَدَتْهُ أُمُّهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever performs Hajj in such a way that he neither becomes indecent with his women nor commits any sinful act, he will return to his home as pure as the day his mother gave birth to him.
Hadith 9312
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سَيَّارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " مَنْ حَجَّ هَذَا الْبَيْتَ فَلَمْ يَرْفُثْ ، وَلَمْ يَفْسُقْ ، رَجَعَ كَمَا وَلَدَتْهُ أُمُّهُ " .

Hadith 9313
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ سُهَيْلُ بْنُ أَبِي صَالِحٍ يُحَدِّثُ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " لَا وُضُوءَ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدَثٍ أَوْ رِيحٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Wudu becomes obligatory in this way when hadath occurs or wind passes.
