Hadith 9235
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " أَلَا أُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِخِيَارِكُمْ ؟ " ، قَالُوا بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " خِيَارُكُمْ أَطْوَلُكُمْ أَعْمَارًا ، وَأَحْسَنُكُمْ أَخْلَاقًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shall I not tell you who among you is the best?" The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) submitted, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best among you are those whose lives are long and whose character is excellent."
Hadith 9236
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُتَلَقَّى الْجَلَبُ ، فَإِنْ ابْتَاعَ مُبْتَاعٌ ، فَصَاحِبُ السِّلْعَةِ بِالْخِيَارِ إِذَا وَرَدَتِ السُّوقَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade meeting incoming traders outside (the city) to purchase goods from them. If someone buys something in this manner, the seller will have the option (to confirm or cancel the sale) after reaching the market or marketplace.
Hadith 9237
حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ اللُّؤْلُئِيُّ ، وَأَبُو كَامِلٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، قَالَ سُرَيْجٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ ، لَيَخْرُجَنَّ رِجَالٌ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ رَغْبَةً عَنْهَا ، وَالْمَدِينَةُ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard Abul Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: Some people will leave Madinah with reluctance, although if they knew, Madinah would have been better for them.
Hadith 9238
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي جَابِرٌ ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ مَنَامِهِ ، فَلْيُفْرِغْ عَلَى يَدَيْهِ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُدْخِلَهُمَا فِي الْإِنَاءِ ، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي فِيمَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you wakes up from his sleep, he should not put his hand into a vessel until he has washed it three times, for he does not know where his hand spent the night.
Hadith 9239
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : وَقَدْ قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " فِي يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ سَاعَةٌ ، لَا يُوَافِقُهَا عَبْدٌ مُسْلِمٌ إِلَّا اسْتُجِيبَ لَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: On Friday, there is such an hour that whatever supplication a Muslim servant makes to Allah, Allah surely grants him that thing.
Hadith 9240
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ذَوَّادُ بْنُ عُلْبَةَ ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُهَجِّرُ ، قَالَ : فَصَلَّيْتُ ، ثُمَّ جِئْتُ فَجَلَسْتُ إِلَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ : " يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ , اشِكَنَْبْ دَرْدْ ؟ " . قَالَ : قُلْتُ : لَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ . قَالَ : " صَلِّ فَإِنَّ فِي الصَّلَاةِ شِفَاءً " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that whenever I went out at noon, I found the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performing prayer. (One day when I was present) the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), after finishing the prayer, asked in Persian, "Do you have pain in your stomach?" I replied, "No." He said, "Perform the prayer standing, for there is healing in the prayer."
Hadith 9241
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَفْصٍ ، عَنْ وَرْقَاءُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " لَمْ يَكْذِبْ إِبْرَاهِيمُ إِلَّا ثَلَاثَ كَذِبَاتٍ : قَوْلُهُ حِينَ دُعِيَ إِلَى آلِهَتِهِمْ : إِنِّي سَقِيمٌ سورة الصافات آية 89 ، وَقَوْلُهُ : فَعَلَهُ كَبِيرُهُمْ هَذَا سورة الأنبياء آية 63 ، وَقَوْلُهُ لِسَارَةَ : إِنَّهَا أُخْتِي " ، قَالَ : " وَدَخَلَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ قَرْيَةً فِيهَا مَلِكٌ مِنَ الْمُلُوكِ أَوْ جَبَّارٌ مِنَ الْجَبَابِرَةِ ، فَقِيلَ : دَخَلَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ اللَّيْلَةَ بِامْرَأَةٍ مِنْ أَحْسَنِ النَّاسِ ، قَالَ : فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهِ الْمَلِكُ أَوْ الْجَبَّارُ : مَنْ هَذِهِ مَعَكَ ؟ ، قَالَ : أُخْتِي ، قَالَ : أَرْسِلْ بِهَا ، قَالَ : فَأَرْسَلَ بِهَا إِلَيْهِ ، وَقَالَ لَهَا : لَا تُكَذِّبِي قَوْلِي ، فَإِنِّي قَدْ أَخْبَرْتُهُ أَنَّكِ أُخْتِي ، إِنْ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ مُؤْمِنٌ غَيْرِي وَغَيْرُكِ ، قَالَ : فَلَمَّا دَخَلَتْ إِلَيْهِ قَامَ إِلَيْهَا ، قَالَ : فَأَقْبَلَتْ تَوَضَّأ وَتُصَلِّي ، وَتَقُولُ : اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنِّي آمَنْتُ بِكَ وَبِرَسُولِكَ ، وَأَحْصَنْتُ فَرْجِي إِلَّا عَلَى زَوْجِي ، فَلَا تُسَلِّطْ عَلَيَّ الْكَافِرَ ، قَالَ : فَغُطَّ حَتَّى رَكَضَ بِرِجْلِهِ قَالَ أَبُو الزِّنَادِ : قَالَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ : عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ : اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّهُ إِنْ يَمُتْ ، يُقَلْ : هِيَ قَتَلَتْهُ ، قَالَ : فَأُرْسِلَ ثُمَّ قَامَ إِلَيْهَا ، فَقَامَتْ تَوَضَّأُ وَتُصَلِّي ، وَتَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنِّي آمَنْتُ بِكَ وَبِرَسُولِكَ ، وَأَحْصَنْتُ فَرْجِي إِلَّا عَلَى زَوْجِي ، فَلَا تُسَلِّطْ عَلَيَّ الْكَافِرَ ، قَالَ : فَغُطَّ حَتَّى رَكَضَ بِرِجْلِهِ قَالَ أَبُو الزِّنَادِ : قَالَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ : عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ : اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّهُ إِنْ يَمُتْ ، يُقَلْ : هِيَ قَتَلَتْهُ ، قَالَ : فَأُرْسِلَ ، فَقَالَ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ , أَوْ الرَّابِعَةِ : مَا أَرْسَلْتُمْ إِلَيَّ إِلَّا شَيْطَانًا ، ارْجِعُوهَا إِلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، وَأَعْطُوهَا هَاجَرَ ، قَالَ : فَرَجَعَتْ ، فَقَالَتْ لِإِبْرَاهِيمَ : أَشَعَرْتَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ رَدَّ كَيْدَ الْكَافِرِ ، وَأَخْدَمَ وَلِيدَةً ؟ ! " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said that Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) never said anything that was actually true but apparently seemed to be a lie, except for three such statements. The first two are these: Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) said, "I am sick," and he said, "This (idol-breaking) was done by the big idol." The third incident happened as follows: Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and Hazrat Sarah (peace be upon her) were passing through a village where a tyrant king resided. Someone told the king that a man had come here with a very beautiful woman. The king sent a man to Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) to inquire, "Who is this woman?" Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) replied, "She is my sister." Then he went to Hazrat Sarah (peace be upon her) and said, "There is no other believer on the face of the earth except you and me, and that tyrant asked me about you, so I told him you are my sister. Therefore, do not contradict me." After this, the king summoned Hazrat Sarah (peace be upon her). She went. The king approached her with evil intentions. Hazrat Sarah (peace be upon her) performed ablution and began to pray, saying, "O Allah! If You know that I believe in You and Your Messenger, and have protected my chastity from everyone except my husband, then do not let this disbeliever overpower me." Upon this, he sank into the ground. Hazrat Sarah (peace be upon her) prayed, "O Allah! If he dies like this, people will say that Sarah killed him." So Allah released him. He tried to assault her again, but the same thing happened; he sank into the ground and was released. The third or fourth time, the king said to his guard, "You have not brought a human to me, but a devil. Send her back to Ibrahim." Saying this, he gave Hazrat Sarah (peace be upon her) Hajar (peace be upon her) as a servant. Hazrat Sarah (peace be upon her) returned to Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and said, "Allah has protected me from the disbeliever's assault, and he has given me Hajar for service."
Hadith 9242
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، عَنِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ , أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " مَرِضْتُ ، فَلَمْ يَعُدْنِي ابْنُ آدَمَ ، وَظَمِئْتُ ، فَلَمْ يَسْقِنِي ابْنُ آدَمَ . فَقُلْتُ : أَتَمْرَضُ يَا رَبِّ ؟ ! ، قَالَ : يَمْرَضُ الْعَبْدُ مِنْ عِبَادِي مِمَّنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ ، فَلَا يُعَادُ ، فَلَوْ عَادَهُ ، كَانَ مَا يَعُودُهُ لِي ، وَيَظْمَأُ فِي الْأَرْضِ ، فَلَا يُسْقَى ، فَلَوْ سُقِيَ كَانَ مَا سَقَاهُ لِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: Allah Almighty says, "I was ill but the son of Adam did not visit Me. I was thirsty but the son of Adam did not give Me water to drink." I said, "O Lord! Do You also become ill?" The reply was given: "When one of My servants on earth becomes ill and he is not visited, if My servant goes to visit him, he receives the same reward as if he had visited Me. And when one of My servants on earth is thirsty and is not given water, if someone gives him water, he receives the same reward as if he had given Me water."
Hadith 9243
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي يُونُسَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ لَشَجَرَةً يَسِيرُ الرَّاكِبُ الْجَوَادُ فِي ظِلِّهَا مِائَةَ سَنَةٍ ، وَإِنَّ وَرَقَهَا لَيُخَمِّرُ الْجَنَّةَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In Paradise, there is a tree such that a skilled rider could travel under its shade for a hundred years, and its leaves have covered Paradise.
Hadith 9244
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ وَرْدَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " مَنْ مَاتَ مُرَابِطًا ، وُقِيَ فِتْنَةَ الْقَبْرِ ، وَأُومِنَ مِنَ الْفَزَعِ الْأَكْبَرِ ، وَغُدِيَ عَلَيْهِ ، وَرِيحَ بِرِزْقِهِ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ ، وَكُتِبَ لَهُ أَجْرُ الْمُرَابِطِ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever dies while guarding the borders will be safe from the punishment of the grave and will be secure on the Day of Great Terror. Morning and evening, sustenance will be brought to him from Paradise, and until the Day of Resurrection, the reward of a border guard will continue to be written for him.
Hadith 9245
حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْمُبَارَكُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ صِبْرَةَ ، وَعَبَّادُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، أنهما سمعا القاسم بن محمد ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَقْبَلُ الصَّدَقَةَ ، وَلَا يَقْبَلُ مِنْهَا إِلَّا الطَّيِّبَ ، يَقْبَلُهَا بِيَمِينِهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى ، وَيُرَبِّيهَا لِعَبْدِهِ الْمُسْلِمِ , كَمَا يُرَبِّي أَحَدُكُمْ مُهْرَهُ أَوْ فَصِيلَهُ ، حَتَّى يُوَافَى بِهَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِثْلَ أُحُدٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When a servant gives charity from lawful wealth, Allah accepts it and takes it with His right hand, and just as one of you raises and nurtures his young goat, likewise Allah nurtures it, until on the Day of Resurrection it will be returned as great as the mountain of Uhud.
Hadith 9246
حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَيَّاشٍ يَعْنِي إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " دَخَلَ عَبْدٌ الْجَنَّةَ بِغُصْنِ شَوْكٍ عَلَى ظَهْرِ طَرِيقِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ ، فَأَمَاطَهُ عَنْهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A man removed a thorny branch from the path of the Muslims, and due to its blessing, he entered Paradise.
Hadith 9247
حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَدْعُو عِنْدَ النَّوْمِ : " اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ السَّمَوَاتِ السَّبْعِ ، وَرَبَّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ ، رَبَّنَا وَرَبَّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ مُنْزِلَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَالْإِنْجِيلِ وَالْقُرْآنِ ، فَالِقَ الْحَبِّ وَالنَّوَى ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ ، أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ أَنْتَ آخِذٌ بِنَاصِيَتِهِ ، أَنْتَ الْأَوَّلُ لَيْسَ قَبْلَكَ شَيْءٌ ، وَأَنْتَ الْآخِرُ لَيْسَ بَعْدَكَ شَيْءٌ ، وَأَنْتَ الظَّاهِرُ لَيْسَ فَوْقَكَ شَيْءٌ ، وَأَنْتَ الْبَاطِنُ لَيْسَ دُونَكَ شَيْءٌ ، اقْضِ عَنَّا الدَّيْنَ ، وَأَغْنِنَا مِنَ الْفَقْرِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would come to lie down on his bed, he would say: "O Lord of the seven heavens, the earth, and everything in them! O Allah, the One who splits the grain and the date-stone, the One who sent down the Torah, the Gospel, and the Qur'an! I seek refuge in You from the evil of every evil one whose forelock is in Your grasp. You are the First, there is nothing before You. You are the Last, there is nothing after You. You are the Most High, there is nothing above You. You are the Most Near, there is nothing closer than You. Settle my debts for me and free me from poverty and need."
Hadith 9248
حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفٌ بنِِ الوليدِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " لَا يَسْتُرُ عَبْدٌ عَبْدًا فِي الدُّنْيَا ، إِلَّا سَتَرَهُ اللَّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever conceals the faults of a Muslim in this world, Allah will conceal his faults on the Day of Resurrection.
Hadith 9249
حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْشَرٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قال : " كَانَ يَمُرُّ بِآلِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هِلَالٌ ، ثُمَّ هِلَالٌ ، لَا يُوقَدُ فِي شَيْءٍ مِنْ بُيُوتِهِمْ النَّارُ ، لَا لِخُبْزٍ ، وَلَا لِطَبِيخٍ ، فَقَالُوا : بِأَيِّ شَيْءٍ كَانُوا يَعِيشُونَ يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ؟ ، قَالَ : الأسودانِ : التَّمْرِ وَالْمَاءِ ، وَكَانَ لَهُمْ جِيرَانٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ ، وَجَزَاهُمْ اللَّهُ خَيْرًا ، لَهُمْ مَنَائِحُ ، يُرْسِلُونَ إِلَيْهِمْ شَيْئًا مِنْ لَبَنٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that two consecutive months would pass over the family of Mustafa (peace and blessings be upon him) during which no fire would be lit in their houses, neither for bread nor for cooking food. People asked him, "O Abu Huraira! Then how did they sustain themselves?" He replied, "On two black things, that is, dates and water. And there were some Ansar—may Allah reward them with goodness—who were their neighbors and had some goats, from which they would send a little milk."
Hadith 9250
حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْشَرٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " تَهَادَوْا ، فَإِنَّ الْهَدِيَّةَ تُذْهِبُ وَغَرَ الصَّدْرِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Exchange gifts among yourselves, for a gift removes malice from the hearts.
Hadith 9251
حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْشَرٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، عنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " مَنْ عَمَّرَ سِتِّينَ سَنَةً أَوْ سَبْعِينَ سَنَةً ، فَقَدْ عُذِرَ إِلَيْهِ فِي الْعُمُرِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever Allah grants a life of sixty or seventy years, Allah completes his excuse regarding age.
Hadith 9252
حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ ، عَنِ الطُّهَوِيِّ ، عَنْ ذُهَيْلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : كُنَّا فِي سَفَرٍ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَرْمَلْنَا ، وَأَنْفَضْنَا ، فَآتَيْنَا عَلَى إِبِلٍ مَصْرُورَةٍ بِلِحَاءِ الشَّجَرِ ، فَابْتَدَرَهَا الْقَوْمُ لِيَحْلِبُوهَا ، فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ هَذِهِ عَسَى أَنْ يَكُونَ فِيهَا قُوتُ أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ ، أَتُحِبُّونَ لَوْ أَنَّهُمْ أَتَوْا عَلَى مَا فِي أَزْوَادِكُمْ فَأَخَذُوهُ ؟ " ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " إِنْ كُنْتُمْ لَا بُدَّ فَاعِلِينَ فَاشْرَبُوا ، وَلَا تَحْمِلُوا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were on a journey with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). We were covered in dust and shaking it off when we passed by some camels whose udders were tied and they were grazing among the trees. People hurried forward to milk them. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to them: "It is possible that the livelihood of a Muslim household depends only on this. Would you like that they come to your provision bag and take everything that is in it?" Then he said: "If you must do something, then only drink (from it), but do not take anything with you."
Hadith 9253
حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيلَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا تَدَعُوا رَكْعَتَيْ الْفَجْرِ ، وَإِنْ طَرَدَتْكُمْ الْخَيْلُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not abandon the two Sunnah (units) of Fajr, even if horses trample over you.
Hadith 9254
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ ، عَنِ الْأَغَرِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فِيمَا يَحْكِي عَنْ رَبِّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ ذَكَرَنِي فِي نَفْسِهِ ، ذَكَرْتُهُ فِي نَفْسِي ، وَمَنْ ذَكَرَنِي فِي مَلَإٍ مِنَ النَّاسِ ، ذَكَرْتُهُ فِي مَلَإٍ أَكْثَرَ مِنْهُمْ وَأَطْيَبَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty says, "If a servant remembers Me in his heart, I also remember him in My heart. If he remembers Me in a gathering, I remember him in a gathering better than that."
Hadith 9255
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، وَبَهْزٌ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي سَعْدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ حُمَيْدَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَا يَنْبَغِي لِعَبْدٍ أَنْ يَقُولَ : أَنَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ مَتَّى " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: It is not appropriate for any servant to go about saying, "I am better than Hazrat Yunus (peace be upon him)."
Hadith 9256
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ ، قَالَ : كَانَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ قَاضٍ ، يُقَالُ لَهُ : عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ ، قَالَ : فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ عَبْدًا أَصَابَ ذَنْبًا ، فَقَالَ : أَيْ رَبِّ , أَذْنَبْتُ ذَنْبًا فَاغْفِرْ لِي . فَقَالَ رَبُّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : عَلِمَ عَبْدِي أَنَّ لَهُ رَبًّا يَغْفِرُ الذَّنْبَ ، وَيَأْخُذُ بِهِ ، فَغَفَرَ لَهُ ، ثُمَّ مَكَثَ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ ، ثُمَّ أَذْنَبَ ذَنْبًا آخَرَ ، فَقَالَ أَيْ رَبِّ أَذْنَبْتُ ذَنْبًا ، فَاغْفِرْهُ ، فَقَالَ رَبُّهُ عَلِمَ عَبْدِي أَنَّ لَهُ رَبًّا يَغْفِرُ الذَّنْبَ ، وَيَأْخُذُ بِهِ ، فَغَفَر له ، ثُمَّ مَكَثَ ما شاءَ الله ، ثُمَّ أَذْنَبَ ذَنْبًا أخَر ، فقال أَيْ رَبّ ، أَذْنَبْتُ ذَنْبًا ، فاغْفِرْه ، فقالَ رَبُّه عَلِمَ عَبْدِى أَنّ له رَبًَّا يَغْفِرُ الذَّنْبَ ، ويَأْخُذُ به ، قَدْ غَفَرْتُ لِعَبْدِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: A man commits a sin and then says, "O Lord! I have committed a sin, forgive me." Allah Almighty says: "My servant has committed a sin and he knows that he has a Lord who forgives sins or punishes for them. I have forgiven My servant." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) repeated this three more times, that the servant again commits a sin and confesses as before, and Allah responds as before. The fourth time, at the end, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said that Allah Almighty says: "My servant knows that he has a Lord who forgives sins or punishes for them. I have forgiven My servant."
Hadith 9257
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " كَانَ زَكَرِيَّا نَجَّارًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said that Hazrat Zakariya (peace be upon him) was a carpenter by profession.
Hadith 9258
حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيلَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا تَدَعُوا رَكْعَتَيْ الْفَجْرِ ، وَإِنْ طَرَدَتْكُمْ الْخَيْلُ " .
In the copy available to us, the word "حدثنا" is written here, which is to clarify the scribe's mistake.
Hadith 9259
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : دَاوُدُ بْنُ فَرَاهِيجَ أَخْبَرَنِي قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : " مَا كَانَ لَنَا طَعَامٌ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، إِلَّا الْأَسْوَدَانِ : التَّمْرُ , وَالْمَاءُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the blessed era of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), we had nothing to eat except two black things: dates and water.
Hadith 9260
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَوْسِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " مَثَلُ الَّذِي يَسْمَعُ الْحِكْمَةَ وَيَتَّبِعُ شَرَّ مَا يَسْمَعُ , كَمَثَلِ رَجُلٍ أَتَى رَاعِيًا , فَقَالَ لَهُ : أَجْزِرْنِي شَاةً مِنْ غَنَمِكَ . فَقَالَ : اذْهَبْ فَخُذْ بِأُذُنِ خَيْرِهَا شَاةً . فَذَهَبَ فَأَخَذَ بِأُذُنِ كَلْبِ الْغَنَمِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave the example of a person "who sits in a gathering and hears words of wisdom, but only selects and conveys the wrong things from it to his companion. His example is like that of a person who comes to a shepherd and says, 'O shepherd! Slaughter a goat for me from your flock.' The shepherd replies, 'Go and bring the ear of the best one among them,' and he goes and brings the ear of the flock's dog."
Hadith 9261
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا النُّعْمَانُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : " شَرُّ الطَّعَامِ طَعَامُ الْوَلِيمَةِ يُدْعَى لَهَا الْأَغْنِيَاءُ ، وَيُدْفَعُ عَنْهَا الْفُقَرَاءُ ، وَمَنْ تَرَكَ الدَّعْوَةَ , فَقَدْ عَصَى اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the worst food is the food of a wedding feast to which the rich are invited and the poor are left out, and whoever does not accept the invitation has disobeyed Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him).
Hadith 9262
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " لَا طِيَرَةَ ، وَخَيْرُهَا الْفَأْلُ " ، قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، وَمَا الْفَأْلُ ؟ ، قَالَ : " الْكَلِمَةُ الصَّالِحَةُ ، يَسْمَعُهَا أَحَدُكُمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: There is no reality in bad omens, but "fa’l" is the best. Someone asked, O Messenger of Allah! What is meant by "fa’l"? He replied: A good word that any of you hears.
Hadith 9263
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " لَا يُورَدُ مُمْرِضٌ عَلَى مُصِحٍّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not bring sick animals near healthy animals.
Hadith 9264
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا أُتِيَ بِطَعَامٍ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَهْلِهِ ، سَأَلَ عَنْهُ ، فَإِنْ قِيلَ : هَدِيَّةٌ ، أَكَلَ ، وَإِنْ قِيلَ : صَدَقَةٌ ، قَالَ : " كُلُوا " ، وَلَمْ يَأْكُلْ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that when food would come to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) from somewhere other than his own house, he (peace be upon him) would inquire about it. If he was told that it was a gift, he (peace be upon him) would eat from it, and if he was told that it was charity, he would tell the people, "You eat," and he himself would not eat from it.
Hadith 9265
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، رَأَى رَجُلًا مُبَقَّعَ الرِّجْلَيْنِ ، فَقَالَ : أَحْسِنُوا الْوُضُوءَ ، فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " وَيْلٌ لِلْأَعْقَابِ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
Muhammad bin Ziyadah says that once Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) saw a man who had left his heels dry. Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Perform ablution thoroughly, for I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'Woe to the heels from the fire of Hell.'"
Hadith 9266
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " الدَّابَّةُ الْعَجْمَاءُ جُبَارٌ ، وَالْبِئْرُ جُبَارٌ ، وَالْمَعْدِنُ جُبَارٌ ، وَفِي الرِّكَازِ الْخُمُسُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: The blood of one who dies from an animal's wound is wasted; the blood of one who dies by falling into a well is wasted; the blood of one who dies in a mine is also wasted. And for the buried treasure (rikaz) that someone finds, one-fifth (khums) is obligatory. Whoever buys a goat (and is deceived) whose udders have been tied, he has the choice of two things: either he keeps the animal with himself (and settles the matter), or he returns the animal to the owner and gives along with it one sa’ of dates.
Hadith 9266M
وَمَنْ ابْتَاعَ شَاةً فَوَجَدَهَا مُصَرَّاةً ، فَهُوَ بِالْخِيَارِ ، إِنْ شَاءَ رَدَّهَا وَصَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ " .
And whoever buys a sheep and finds it to be muṣarrāh, then he has the choice: if he wishes, he may return it and (give) a sā‘ of dates.
Hadith 9267
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : إن رسولَ الله صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُتِيَ بِتَمْرٍ مِنْ تَمْرِ الصَّدَقَةِ ، فَأَمَرَ فِيهِ بِأَمْرٍ ، فَحَمَلَ الْحَسَنَ أَوِ الْحُسَيْنَ عَلَى عَاتِقِهِ ، فَجَعَلَ لُعَابُهُ يَسِيلُ عَلَيْهِ ، فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِ ، فَإِذَا هُوَ يَلُوكُ تَمْرَةً ، فَحَرَّكَ خَدَّهُ , وَقَالَ : " أَلْقِهَا يَا بُنَيَّ ، أَمَا شَعَرْتَ أَنَّ آلَ مُحَمَّدٍ لَا يَأْكُلُونَ الصَّدَقَةَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that dates of charity were brought to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave a command regarding them, and seated either Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) or Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) on his shoulder. His saliva began to flow onto the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) looked up and saw a date in his mouth. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) put his hand in and took the date out of his mouth and said: Do you not know that the family of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) does not eat charity?
Hadith 9268
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا عَمَّارُ بْنُ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا أَطَاعَ الْعَبْدُ رَبَّهُ وَسَيِّدَهُ ، فَلَهُ أَجْرَانِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When a slave obeys both Allah and his master, he receives double reward for every deed.
Hadith 9269
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا عَمَّارُ بْنُ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا جَاءَ خَادِمُ أَحَدِكُمْ بِطَعَامِهِ ، قَدْ كَفَاهُ حَرَّهُ وَعَمَلَهُ ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يُقْعِدْهُ مَعَهُ لِيَأْكُلَ ، فَلْيُنَاوِلْهُ أُكْلَةً مِنْ طَعَامِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you has a servant who has sufficed him in cooking food with its heat and effort, then he should make him sit with him and feed him. If he cannot do so, then he should at least give him a morsel from it.
Hadith 9270
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ آدَمَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الْأَنْبِيَاءُ إِخْوَةٌ ، لِعَلَّاتٍ أُمَّهَاتُهُمْ شَتَّى ، وَدِينُهُمْ وَاحِدٌ ، وَأَنَا أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِعِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ لِأَنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ نَبِيٌّ ، وَإِنَّهُ نَازِلٌ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهُ ، فَاعْرِفُوهُ رَجُلًا مَرْبُوعًا إِلَى الْحُمْرَةِ وَالْبَيَاضِ ، عَلَيْهِ ثَوْبَانِ مُمَصَّرَانِ ، كَأَنَّ رَأْسَهُ يَقْطُرُ وَإِنْ لَمْ يُصِبْهُ بَلَلٌ ، فَيَدُقُّ الصَّلِيبَ ، وَيَقْتُلُ الْخِنْزِيرَ ، وَيَضَعُ الْجِزْيَةَ ، وَيَدْعُو النَّاسَ إِلَى الْإِسْلَامِ ، فَيُهْلِكُ اللَّهُ فِي زَمَانِهِ الْمِلَلَ كُلَّهَا إِلَّا الْإِسْلَامَ ، وَيُهْلِكُ اللَّهُ فِي زَمَانِهِ الْمَسِيحَ الدَّجَّالَ ، وَتَقَعُ الْأَمَنَةُ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ ، حَتَّى تَرْتَعَ الْأُسُودُ مَعَ الْإِبِلِ ، وَالنِّمَارُ مَعَ الْبَقَرِ ، وَالذِّئَابُ مَعَ الْغَنَمِ ، وَيَلْعَبَ الصِّبْيَانُ بِالْحَيَّاتِ لَا تَضُرُّهُمْ ، فَيَمْكُثُ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً ثُمَّ يُتَوَفَّى وَيُصَلِّي عَلَيْهِ الْمُسْلِمُونَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: All the noble prophets (peace be upon them) are like paternal brothers (who have the same father but different mothers); all of their mothers are different but their religion is one. And among all people, I am the closest to Hazrat Isa (peace be upon him) because there is no prophet between me and him, and soon he will descend upon the earth. Therefore, when you see him, recognize him by the following signs: he will be a man of medium height, of a reddish-white complexion, wearing two garments dyed with saffron, and it will appear as if drops of water are falling from his head, though he will not be wet. Then he will break the cross, kill the swine, abolish the jizya, and invite people to Islam. In his time, Allah will destroy all religions except Islam, and in his time, he will have the Messiah Dajjal killed, and peace and security will prevail over the earth, so much so that snakes will graze with camels, leopards with cows, and wolves with sheep at the same watering place, and children will play with snakes and they will not harm them. In this way, Hazrat Isa (peace be upon him) will remain on earth for forty years and then pass away, and the Muslims will perform his funeral prayer.
Hadith 9271
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " عَجِبَ رَبُّنَا عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنْ رِجَالٍ يُقَادُونَ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ فِي السَّلَاسِلِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Our Lord is amazed at that people who are dragged to Paradise in chains." (Their deeds are taking them towards Hell, but Allah's mercy is taking them towards Paradise.)
Hadith 9272
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة : " أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى عَلَى قَبْرٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went to a grave and supplicated for forgiveness for the one in it.
Hadith 9273
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ كَعْبٍ الْقُرَظِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ , أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ الرَّحِمَ شُجْنَةٌ مِنَ الرَّحْمَنِ ، تَقُولُ يَا رَبِّ إِنِّي قُطِعْتُ ، يَا رَبِّ إِنِّي أُسِيءَ إِلَيَّ ، يَا رَبِّ إِنِّي ظُلِمْتُ ، يَا رَبِّ . قَالَ : فَيُجِيبُهَا أَمَا تَرْضَيْنَ أَنْ أَصِلَ مَنْ وَصَلَكِ ، وَأَقْطَعَ مَنْ قَطَعَكِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Mercy is a part of the Most Merciful, which will come on the Day of Resurrection and will say, 'O Lord, I was broken, I was wronged, O Lord, I was treated badly.' Allah will reply, 'Are you not pleased that I will join the one who joins you, and I will cut off the one who cuts you off?'"
