Hadith 9155
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ مَيْسُورًا مَوْلَى قُرَيْشٍ فِي حَلْقَةِ سَعِيدٍ يُحَدِّثُ , عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ الْقُرَشِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنَّهُ مَرَّ بِهِ فَتًى يَجُرُّ إِزَارَهُ ، فَوَكَزَهُ بِحَدِيدَةٍ كَانَتْ مَعَهُ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : أَلَمْ يَبْلُغْكَ مَا قَالَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَنْظُرُ اللَّهُ إِلَى الَّذِي يَجُرُّ إِزَارَهُ بَطَرًا " .
Once, a young man passed by Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) while he was dragging his lower garment. Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) poked him with his stick and said, "Do you not know that Abu al-Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever drags his lower garment on the ground out of pride, Allah will not look at him with mercy."
Hadith 9156
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْجَوَّابِ الضَّبِّيُّ الْأَحْوَصُ بْنُ جَوَّابٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَمَّارُ بْنُ رُزَيْقٍ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي أُحَدِّثُ نَفْسِي بِالْحَدِيثِ ، لَأَنْ أَخِرَّ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أَتَكَلَّمَ بِهِ ، قَالَ : " ذَلِكَ صَرِيحُ الْإِيمَانِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A man came to the court of Prophethood and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), such thoughts and whispers come to my heart that I would prefer to fall down from the sky rather than utter them with my tongue (what should I do?)" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "This is clear faith."
Hadith 9157
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْجَوَّابِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمَّارُ بْنُ رُزَيْقٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عِيسَى ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَعْمَرَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " مَنْ خَبَّبَ خَادِمًا عَلَى أَهْلِهَا فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا ، وَمَنْ أَفْسَدَ امْرَأَةً عَلَى زَوْجِهَا فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever incites a servant against his family is not from among us, and whoever incites a woman against her husband is also not from among us.
Hadith 9158
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " ثَلَاثٌ فِي الْمُنَافِقِ ، وَإِنْ صَلَّى وَإِنْ صَامَ وَزَعَمَ أَنَّهُ مُسْلِمٌ : إِذَا حَدَّثَ كَذَبَ ، وَإِذَا وَعَدَ أَخْلَفَ ، وَإِذَا ائْتُمِنَ خَانَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There are three signs of a hypocrite, even if he performs prayer and fasting and considers himself a Muslim: when he speaks, he lies; when he makes a promise, he breaks it; and when something is entrusted to him, he betrays the trust.
Hadith 9159
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَابِقٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ كَتَبَ كِتَابًا بِيَدِهِ لِنَفْسِهِ ، قَبْلَ أَنْ يَخْلُقَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ ، فَوَضَعَهُ تَحْتَ عَرْشِهِ , فِيهِ : رَحْمَتِي سَبَقَتْ غَضَبِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When Allah decided to create the creation, He wrote in a book which is with Him above the Throne: "My mercy prevails over My wrath."
Hadith 9160
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْهَاشِمِيُّ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا الْعَلَاءُ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ دَعَا إِلَى هُدًى ، كَانَ لَهُ مِنَ الْأَجْرِ مِثْلُ أُجُورِ مَنْ تَبِعَهُ ، لَا يُنْقِصُ ذَلِكَ مِنْ أُجُورِهِمْ شَيْئًا ، وَمَنْ دَعَا إِلَى ضَلَالَةٍ ، كَانَ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْإِثْمِ مِثْلُ آثَامِ مَنْ تَبِعَهُ ، لَا يُنْقِصُ ذَلِكَ مِنْ آثَامِهِمْ شَيْئًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever invites people towards guidance will have a reward equal to that of those who follow him, without their rewards being diminished in any way. And whoever invites people towards misguidance will bear a sin equal to that of those who follow him, without their sins being diminished in any way.
Hadith 9161
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، َقالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي الْعَلَاءُ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا يَصْبِرُ عَلَى لَأْوَاءِ الْمَدِينَةِ وَشِدَّتِهَا أَحَدٌ ، إِلَّا كُنْتُ لَهُ شَفِيعًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَوْ شَهِيدًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever endures the hardships and difficulties of Madinah with patience, I will testify and intercede for him on the Day of Resurrection.
Hadith 9162
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، َقالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي الْعَلَاءُ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّ التَّثَاؤُبَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ ، فَإِذَا تَثَاءَبَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَكْظِمْ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ " .
It is narrated with the previous chain that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Yawning comes due to the effect of Satan, so when any of you feels like yawning, he should try to restrain it as much as possible.
Hadith 9163
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، َقالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي الْعَلَاءُ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا يَجْتَمِعُ كَافِرٌ ، وَقَاتِلُهُ فِي النَّارِ أَبَدًا " .
It is narrated with the previous chain that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A disbeliever and his Muslim killer can never be together in Hell.
Hadith 9164
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، َقالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي الْعَلَاءُ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَوْ يَعْلَمُ الْمُؤْمِنُ مَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنَ الْعُقُوبَةِ ، مَا طَمِعَ بِجَنَّتِهِ أَحَدٌ ، وَلَوْ يَعْلَمُ الْكَافِرُ مَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنَ الرَّحْمَةِ ، مَا قَنَطَ مِنْ رَحْمَتِهِ أَحَدٌ " .
It is narrated with the same chain that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If a believing servant were to know the punishments that Allah has prepared, then no one would desire Paradise (they would only keep praying to be saved from Hell); and if a disbeliever were to realize the extent of Allah’s mercy, then no one would despair of Paradise.
Hadith 9165
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، َقالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي الْعَلَاءُ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا عَدْوَى ، وَلَا صَفَرَ ، وَلَا هَامَةَ ، وَلَا نَوْءَ " .
It is narrated with the same chain that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no reality in disease being contagious, the month of Safar being inauspicious, worms in the skull of the dead, or the influence of stars.
Hadith 9166
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، َقالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي الْعَلَاءُ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " يَأْتِي الْمَسِيحُ الدَّجَّالُ مِنْ قِبَلِ الْمَشْرِقِ ، وَهِمَّتُهُ الْمَدِينَةُ ، حَتَّى يَنْزِلَ دُبُرَ أُحُدٍ ، ثُمَّ تَصْرِفُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَجْهَهُ قِبَلَ الشَّامِ ، وَهُنَالِكَ يَهْلِكُ " . قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ : كَذَا قَالَ أَبِي فِي هَذِهِ الْأَحَادِيثِ .
It is narrated with the same chain that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Messiah Dajjal will come from the east and his destination will be Madinah Munawwarah, until he camps behind Uhud. Then the angels will turn his direction towards Syria, and there he will be destroyed.
Hadith 9167
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ , عَنِ ابْنِ دِينَارٍ يَعْنِي عَبْدَ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ السَّمَّانِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَثَلِي وَمَثَلُ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ مِنْ قَبْلِي ، كَمَثَلِ رَجُلٍ بَنَى بُنْيَانًا ، فَأَحْسَنَهُ وَأَجْمَلَهُ ، إِلَّا مَوْضِعَ لَبِنَةٍ مِنْ زَاوِيَةٍ مِنْ زَوَايَاهُ ، فَجَعَلَ النَّاسُ يَطُوفُونَ بِهِ ، وَيَعْجَبُونَ لَهُ ، وَيَقُولُونَ : هَلَّا وُضِعَتْ هَذِهِ اللَّبِنَةُ ؟ ، قَالَ : فَأَنَا تِلْكَ اللَّبِنَةُ ، وَأَنَا خَاتَمُ النَّبِيِّينَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The example of me and the prophets before me is like that of a man who built a very beautiful and complete building, except that he left a space for one brick in one of its corners. People would walk around it, marvel at it, and say, "We have never seen a more splendid building than this, except for the place of this brick." So I am that brick, and I am the Seal of the Prophets.
Hadith 9168
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عُتْبَةُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي تَِيمٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ حُنَيْنٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي زُرَيْقٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا وَقَعَ الذُّبَابُ فِي شَرَابِ أَحَدِكُمْ ، فَلْيَغْمِسْهُ كُلَّهُ ، ثُمَّ لِيَطْرَحْهُ ، فَإِنَّ فِي أَحَدِ جَنَاحَيْهِ شِفَاءً ، وَفِي الْآخَرِ دَاءً " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If a fly falls into the vessel of any one of you, then remember that in one of the fly's wings there is healing and in the other there is disease. Therefore, he should fully dip the fly into it (then using it is up to his discretion).
Hadith 9169
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عُتْبَةُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي تَِيمٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ حُنَيْنٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي زُرَيْقٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قال رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا وَلَغَ الْكَلْبُ فِي إِنَاءِ أَحَدِكُمْ ، فَلْيَغْسِلْهُ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ " .
And the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said that when a dog puts its mouth in the vessel of any one of you, he should wash it seven times.
Hadith 9170
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا سَمِعَ الشَّيْطَانُ الْمُنَادِيَ يُنَادِي بِالصَّلَاةِ ، وَلَّى وَلَهُ ضُرَاطٌ ، حَتَّى لَا يَسْمَعَ الصَّوْتَ ، فَإِذَا فَرَغَ رَجَعَ فَوَسْوَسَ ، فَإِذَا أَخَذَ فِي الْإِقَامَةِ فَعَلَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When Satan hears the sound of the call to prayer (adhan), he runs away forcefully passing wind so that he does not hear the adhan. When the adhan is finished, he returns and puts whispers into the heart of a person, and he does the same at the time of the iqamah.
Hadith 9171
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " تَجِدُ مِنْ شِرَارِ النَّاسِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، الَّذِي يَأْتِي هَؤُلَاءِ بِحَدِيثِ هَؤُلَاءِ ، وَهَؤُلَاءِ بِحَدِيثِ هَؤُلَاءِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, the worst person among you will be the one who is two-faced, who comes to some people with one face and to others with another face.
Hadith 9172
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ ذَكْوَانَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا ، فَيُؤْمِنَ النَّاسُ أَجْمَعُونَ ، فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَا يَنْفَعُ نَفْسًا إِيمَانُهَا لَمْ تَكُنْ آمَنَتْ مِنْ قَبْلُ ، أَوْ كَسَبَتْ فِي إِيمَانِهَا خَيْرًا ، وَلَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى تُقَاتِلُوا الْيَهُودَ ، فَيَفِرَّ الْيَهُودِيُّ وَرَاءَ الْحَجَرِ ، فَيَقُولَ الْحَجَرُ : يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ ، يَا مُسْلِمُ ، هَذَا يَهُودِيٌّ وَرَائِي . وَلَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ ، حَتَّى تُقَاتِلُوا قَوْمًا نِعَالُهُمْ الشَّعَرُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Hour will not be established until the sun rises from the west. When the sun rises from the west, all people will believe in Allah, but at that time, the faith of any person will not benefit him who had not believed before or who had not earned any good through his faith. And the Hour will not be established until you fight the Jews. At that time, if a Jew hides behind a stone, that stone will say: O servant of Allah, O Muslim, there is a Jew hiding behind me. And the Hour will not be established until you fight a people whose shoes will be made of hair.
Hadith 9173
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ : " مَنْ تَوَلَّى قَوْمًا بِغَيْرِ إِذْنِ مَوَالِيهِ ، فَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ ، لَا َيُقْبَلُ مِنْهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عَدْلٌ وَلَا صَرْفٌ " . " وَالْمَدِينَةُ حَرَامٌ فَمَنْ أَحْدَثَ فِيهَا أَوْ آوَى مُحْدِثًا ، فَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ ، لَا يُقْبَلُ مِنْهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عَدْلٌ وَلَا صَرْفٌ " . " وَذِمَّةُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَاحِدَةٌ يَسْعَى بِهَا أَدْنَاهُمْ ، فَمَنْ أَخْفَرَ مُسْلِمًا ، فَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ ، لَا يَقْبَلُ مِنْهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عَدْلٌ وَلَا صَرْفٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever starts calling someone other than his master as his master, upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all people. On the Day of Resurrection, Allah will not accept any obligatory or voluntary act from him. And the responsibility of all Muslims is the same; if an ordinary person grants protection to someone, it should be respected. Whoever breaks the protection granted by a Muslim, upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all people. On the Day of Resurrection, none of his obligatory or voluntary acts will be accepted. Madinah Munawwarah is a sanctuary; whoever introduces an innovation in it or gives refuge to an innovator, upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all people. On the Day of Resurrection, Allah will not accept any obligatory or voluntary worship from him.
Hadith 9174
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " تَوَكَّلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِحِفْظِ امْرِئٍ خَرَجَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ، لَا يُخْرِجُهُ إِلَّا الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ، وَتَصْدِيقٌ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ ، حَتَّى يُوجِبَ لَهُ الْجَنَّةَ ، أَوْ يُرْجِعَهُ إِلَى بَيْتِهِ ، أَوْ مِنْ حَيْثُ خَرَجَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty has taken upon Himself the protection of the person who sets out in His path, that if he sets out solely with the intention of striving in My path, believing in Me and affirming My Messenger, then it is My responsibility to admit him into Paradise, or to return him to his place of residence in such a state that he has obtained reward or spoils of war.
Hadith 9175
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ كُلِمَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ، وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ ُكلِمَ فِي سَبِيلِهِ ، يَجِيءُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ جُرْحُهُ كَهَيْئَتِهِ يَوْمَ جُرِحَ ، لَوْنُهُ لَوْنُ دَمٍ ، وَرِيحُهُ رِيحُ مِسْكٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever receives a wound in the path of Allah—and Allah knows who is wounded in His path—he will come on the Day of Resurrection with his wound fresh, just as it was on the day it was inflicted. Its color will be like blood, but its fragrance will be like musk.
Hadith 9176
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " احْتَجَّ آدَمُ وَمُوسَى ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ مُوسَى : يَا آدَمُ ، أَنْتَ الَّذِي خَلَقَكَ اللَّهُ بِيَدِهِ ، وَنَفَخَ فِيكَ مِنْ رُوحِهِ ، أَغْوَيْتَ النَّاسَ وَأَخْرَجْتَهُمْ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ ؟ ! ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ آدَمُ : أَنْتَ مُوسَى أَنْتَ اصْطَفَاكَ اللَّهُ بِكَلَامِهِ ، تَلُومُنِي عَلَى عَمَلٍ أَعْمَلُهُ ، كَتَبَهُ اللَّهُ عَلَيَّ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَخْلُقَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ ؟ ! ، قَالَ : فَحَجَّ آدَمُ مُوسَى " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Once, in the realm of souls, there was a debate between Hazrat Adam and Hazrat Musa (peace be upon them). Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) said, "O Adam! Allah created you with His own hand of power and breathed His spirit into you. You made people ashamed and caused them to be expelled from Paradise?" Hazrat Adam (peace be upon him) replied, "O Musa, Allah chose you to speak with Him. Do you blame me for something about which Allah had already decreed concerning me forty years before my creation?" In this way, Hazrat Adam (peace be upon him) prevailed over Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him).
Hadith 9177
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ ذَكْوَانَ يُكْنَى أَبَا الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ ، يَا بَنِي هَاشِمٍ ، اشْتَرُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، لَا أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا ، يَا أُمَّ الزُّبَيْرِ عَمَّةَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَا فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتَ مُحَمَّدٍ ، اشْتَرُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ ، لَا أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا ، سَلَانِي مِنْ مَالِي مَا شِئْتُمَا " .
Narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the Banu Abdul Muttalib: "O Banu Abdul Muttalib, save yourselves from Allah by your own actions. O Banu Hashim, save yourselves from Allah by your own actions. I have no power to do anything for you before Allah. O aunt of the Messenger of Allah, Umm Zubair, and O Fatimah bint Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), save yourselves from Allah by your own actions, for I have no authority from Allah to do anything for you. However, you may ask me for whatever wealth and property you wish."
Hadith 9178
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ أُحُدًا ذَاكُمْ يُحَوَّلُ ذَهَبًا ، يَكُونُ عِنْدِي بَعْدَ ثَلَاثٍ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ ، إِلَّا شَيْئًا أَرْصُدُهُ لِدَيْنٍ . إِنَّ الْأَكْثَرِينَ هُمْ الْأَقَلُّونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، إِلَّا مَنْ قَالَ هَكَذَا ، وَهَكَذَا ، وَهَكَذَا ، وَهَكَذَا ، وَقَلِيلٌ مَا هُمْ " , عَنْ يَمِينِهِ ، وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ ، وَبَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ ، وَوَرَاءَهُ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: I do not like that this Mount Uhud be turned into gold for you and after three days anything from it remains with me except that which I keep for the repayment of a debt, because on the Day of Resurrection, those who have abundance of wealth and riches will have little, except those who distribute it with both hands to their right, left, and ahead; such people are very few.
Hadith 9179
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي ، أَوْ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ، لَأَمَرْتُهُمْ بِالسِّوَاكِ عِنْدَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If I had not feared hardship for my ummah, I would have commanded them to use the miswak at the time of every prayer.
Hadith 9180
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ هُوَ ابْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ بِإِسْنَادِهِ .
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
Hadith 9181
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ الرَّجُلُ مُخْتَصِرًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade placing hands on the waist during prayer.
Hadith 9182
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا قَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ ، فَلْيَفْتَتِحْ صَلَاتَهُ بِرَكْعَتَيْنِ خَفِيفَتَيْنِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you gets up for the Tahajjud prayer, he should begin it with two light rak'ahs.
Hadith 9183
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ ذَكْوَانَ أَبُو الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ أَدْرَكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ سَجْدَةً ، فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ الصَّلَاةَ ، وَمَنْ أَدْرَكَ قَبْلَ غُرُوبِ الشَّمْسِ سَجْدَةً ، فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ الصَّلَاةَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever catches one rak'ah of the Fajr prayer before sunrise has caught that prayer, and whoever catches one rak'ah of the Asr prayer before sunset has caught that prayer.
Hadith 9184
حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنْ سُمَيٍّ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " إِذَا دَخَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى أَخِيهِ الْمُسْلِمِ ، فَأَطْعَمَهُ طَعَامًا , فَلْيَأْكُلْ مِنْ طَعَامِهِ ، وَلَا يَسْأَلْهُ عَنْهُ ، فَإِنْ سَقَاهُ شَرَابًا مِنْ شَرَابِهِ , فَلْيَشْرَبْ مِنْ شَرَابِهِ ، وَلَا يَسْأَلْهُ عَنْهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you goes to his Muslim brother and he offers him food, the visitor should eat it, but he should not ask for it himself. Similarly, if something to drink is offered, he should drink it, but he should not ask for it himself.
Hadith 9185
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أُتِيَ أَوْ مُرَّ عَلَيْهِ بِجِنَازَةٍ ، سَأَلَهُمْ : " هَلْ تَرَكَ دَيْنًا ؟ " . فَإِنْ قَالُوا : نَعَمْ . قَالَ : " هَلْ تَرَكَ وَفَاءً ؟ " ، فَإِنْ قَالُوا : نَعَمْ . صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ ، وَإِنْ قَالُوا : لَا . قَالَ : " صَلُّوا عَلَى صَاحِبِكُمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that when a funeral was brought to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), he would first ask, "Does this person have any debt?" If the people said, "Yes," the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would ask, "Has he left anything to repay it?" If the people said, "Yes!" then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would lead his funeral prayer. But if they replied in the negative, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would say, "You should offer the funeral prayer of your companion yourselves."
Hadith 9186
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " لَا يَجْتَمِعَانِ فِي النَّارِ أَبَدًا اجْتِمَاعًا يَضُرُّ أَحَدَهُمَا " . قَالُوا : مَنْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ ، قَالَ : " مُؤْمِنٌ يَقْتُلُهُ كَافِرٌ ، ثُمَّ يُسَدَّدُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Two men will not be gathered together in Hell in such a way that one of them harms the other. The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked, "O Messenger of Allah, who are those people?" He said: The Muslim who kills a disbeliever and then adopts the straight path.
Hadith 9187
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " تَضَمَّنَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ خَرَجَ فِي سَبِيلِهِ ، لَا يُخْرِجُهُ إِلَّا إِيمَانًا بِي ، وَتَصْدِيقًا بِرُسُلِي ، أَنْ أُدْخِلَهُ الْجَنَّةَ ، أَوْ أُرْجِعَهُ إِلَى مَسْكَنِهِ ، الَّذِي خَرَجَ مِنْهُ نَائِلًا مَا نَالَ ، مِنْ أَجْرٍ أَوْ غَنِيمَةٍ " .
It is narrated with the previous chain that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty has taken it upon Himself regarding the person who sets out in His path, that if he sets out solely with the intention of striving in My path, believing in Me and affirming My Messenger, then it is My responsibility to admit him into Paradise or to return him to his place of residence such that he has obtained reward or spoils of war.
Hadith 9188
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، َقَالَ : قال رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ يُجْرَحُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ، وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ يُجْرَحُ فِي سَبِيلِهِ ، إِلَّا لَقِيَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ كَهَيْئَتِهِ يَوْمَ جُرِحَ ، لَوْنُهُ لَوْنُ دَمٍ وَرِيحُهُ رِيحُ مِسْكٍ " .
And the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever receives a wound in the path of Allah—and Allah knows who was wounded in His path—he will come on the Day of Resurrection with his wound fresh, just as it was on the day it was inflicted. Its color will be like the color of blood, but its fragrance will be like the fragrance of musk.
Hadith 9189
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحْوَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ .
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
Hadith 9190
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَيَّاشٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَصِينٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : " كَانَ يُعْرَضُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ فِي كُلِّ سَنَةٍ مَرَّةً ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ الْعَامُ الَّذِي قُبِضَ فِيهِ ، عُرِضَ عَلَيْهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that he (Hazrat Jibreel, peace be upon him) used to review the Holy Qur'an with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once every year, and in the year in which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away, he reviewed it twice.
Hadith 9191
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِاِ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَصِينٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ صَوْمِ أَحَدِكُمْ ، فَلَا يَرْفُثْ ، وَلَا يَجْهَلْ ، فَإِنْ جُهِلَ عَلَيْهِ ، فَلْيَقُلْ إِنِّي امْرُؤٌ صَائِمٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: When any one of you is fasting on any day, he should neither speak indecently nor act ignorantly. If someone behaves ignorantly towards him, he should say, "I am fasting."
Hadith 9192
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " أَبْرِدُوا بِالصَّلَاةِ ، فَإِنَّ فَيْحَهَا مِنْ حَرِّ جَهَنَّمَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The intensity of heat is due to the effect of the heat of Hell, therefore perform the prayer when it becomes cooler.
Hadith 9193
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ حَسَّانَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ ذَكْوَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " لَا يُكْلَمُ عَبْدٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ، وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ يُكْلَمُ فِي سَبِيلِهِ ، يَجِيءُ جُرْحُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ لَوْنُهُ لَوْنُ دَمٍ وَرِيحُهُ رِيحُ مِسْكٍ " .

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَلَاءِ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سَوَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِلَالٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنْ كَانَ قَالَهُ : " لَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي ، لَأَمَرْتُهُمْ بِالسِّوَاكِ مَعَ الْوُضُوءِ " . وقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : لَقَدْ كُنْتُ أَسْتَنُّ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَنَامَ ، وَبَعْدَ مَا أَسْتَيْقِظُ ، وَقَبْلَ مَا آكُلُ ، وَبَعْدَ مَا آكُلُ ، حِينَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَا قَالَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If I had not feared hardship for my ummah, I would have commanded them to use the miswak with every ablution. Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Since I heard this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), I use the miswak before sleeping, after waking up, before eating, and after eating.
