No man should send a marriage proposal over his brother’s proposal, nor should he sell over his brother’s sale, and no woman should demand the divorce of her sister (whether real or religious) so that she may gather what is in her sister’s bowl or vessel for herself; rather, let her marry, for her sustenance is also the responsibility of Allah.

By chance, a rider wearing embroidered clothes passed by. The woman said, "O Allah, make my child like him." The child left his mother's breast, turned towards the rider, and said, "O Allah, do not make me like him," and then started suckling again. After a while, some people passed by, taking along a slave woman (whom they were beating on the way). The woman said, "I seek Allah's protection for my child that he may not die like this Abyssinian woman." The child immediately stopped suckling and said, "O Allah, make me like her." The mother asked the child, "Why did you wish for this?" The child replied, "That rider was a tyrant (so I prayed not to be like him), and people are abusing this slave woman, oppressing her, and she keeps saying, 'Allah is sufficient for me.'"

The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said: Why not? He said: The man who is among his flock of goats, establishes prayer, and gives zakat. Shall I not tell you about the worst man among the creation? The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said: Why not? He said: The man who asks someone for something in the name of Allah, but receives nothing.

Qasim agreed with them in this matter that the Prophet recited this supplication after the Qunoot of Witr.

Allah Almighty, although He knows everything, asks them: In what condition did you leave My servants? They say: When we left them, they were praying, and when we came to them, they were praying.
