Musnad Ahmad

And the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the day of Friday, there comes such an hour that if a Muslim servant encounters it while he is asking Allah for goodness, then Allah surely grants him that thing.

And the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: There are some angels of Allah who come to you in succession; some of these angels come at night and some during the day. These angels gather at the times of Fajr (dawn) prayer and Asr (afternoon) prayer. Then those angels who have stayed among you ascend to the heavens. Although Allah knows everything, He asks them: In what condition did you leave My servants? They say: When we left them, they were praying, and when we came to them, they were praying as well.

And the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: As long as a person waits for the prayer, he is counted as being in prayer, and the angels continue to supplicate for his forgiveness, saying: O Allah, forgive him, O Allah, have mercy on him, as long as he does not lose his ablution.

And the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you says Ameen and the angels also say Ameen at the same time, then the one whose Ameen coincides with the Ameen of the angels, all his past sins will be forgiven.

And the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) once saw a man driving a camel and the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him, "Ride on it." He replied, "It is a sacrificial animal." The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) again said, "Ride on it, ride on it."

And the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: By Him in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad (peace be upon him), if you knew what I know, you would surely weep much and laugh little.

And the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: When any one of you strikes someone, he should avoid striking the face.

And the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This fire of yours which the children of Adam kindle is one part out of seventy parts of the fire of Hell." The noble Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said: "O Messenger of Allah! By Allah, even this one part would be sufficient." The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The fire of Hell is sixty-nine times more intense than this, and each part of it is like the heat of this (worldly fire)."

And the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When Allah decided to create the creation, He wrote in His Book which is with Him above the Throne: "My mercy prevails over My wrath."

And the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Fasting is a shield. When any one of you wakes up in the morning in a state of fasting, he should not utter any foolish or ignorant words. Rather, if someone fights with him or abuses him, he should simply say: I am fasting.

And the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: By Him in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad (peace be upon him), the breath of the fasting person is more pleasant to Allah than the fragrance of musk. The fasting person leaves his food, drink, and desires for My sake; therefore, fasting is for Me, and I Myself will reward for it.

And the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A prophet camped under a tree, and a certain ant bit him. He ordered his belongings to be moved from there and set fire to the entire ant colony. Allah sent revelation to him: Why did you not punish only the one ant? (Only one ant had bitten, not all of them.)

And the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: By Him in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), if I knew that the Muslims would not be put to hardship, I would never stay behind from any expedition sent out in the way of Allah. But I do not have enough means to provide them with mounts, and they do not have enough means to follow me, and their hearts would not be content, and they would begin to stay behind from participating in jihad after me.

And the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Every prophet has a supplication that is certainly accepted, and I have reserved my supplication for the intercession of my ummah on the Day of Resurrection.

And the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever likes to meet Allah, Allah likes to meet him, and whoever does not like to meet Allah, Allah does not like to meet him either.

And the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever obeys me has indeed obeyed Allah, and whoever disobeys me has disobeyed Allah. Whoever obeys the leader has obeyed me, and whoever disobeys the leader has disobeyed me.

And the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Hour will not be established until wealth becomes abundant among you, to the extent that a wealthy man will be anxious to find someone who will accept his charity. And the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Soon knowledge will be taken away, time will become short, tribulations will appear, and killing will increase. The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked: O Messenger of Allah! What is meant by killing? The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Killing. Killing.

And the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The Hour will not be established until two great armies fight each other, and there will be much bloodshed between them, and both will claim the same cause.

And the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The Hour will not be established until about thirty Dajjal and great liars appear, each of whom will think that he is a messenger of Allah.

And the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Hour will not be established until the sun rises from the west. When the sun rises from the west and the people see it, they will all believe in Allah, but at that time, the faith of a person will not benefit him who had not believed before or who had not earned any good through his faith.

And the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: When the call to prayer (adhan) is given, Satan runs away while passing wind loudly so that he does not hear the adhan. When the adhan is finished, he comes back. Then when the iqamah is pronounced, he runs away again, and when the iqamah is completed, he returns and puts whispers into the heart of a person and says, "Remember such and such thing, remember such and such thing," and he reminds him of things which he did not remember before, to the extent that a person does not even remember how many rak'ahs he has prayed?

And the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah’s right hand is full and He is most generous; nothing diminishes it, and He spends day and night. Just see how much He has spent since He created the heavens and the earth, yet what is in His right hand has not decreased. And His Throne is upon the water, and in His other hand is the grasp, by which He raises and lowers.

And the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: By Him in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad (peace be upon him), there will come a day upon one of you when seeing me will be more beloved to him than his family and his wealth.

And the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When Kisra is destroyed, there will be no Kisra after him, and when Caesar is destroyed, there will be no Caesar after him. By the One in Whose hand is the life of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), you will surely spend their treasures in the way of Allah.

And the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Allah, the Exalted, says: I have prepared for My righteous servants such things as no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human heart has ever conceived.

And the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When I leave you regarding a matter, then you too leave me regarding it, because the nations before you were destroyed only due to asking too many questions and differing with their prophets. Whatever I forbid you from, abstain from it, and whatever I command you, do it to the best of your ability.

And the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When the call to prayer for Fajr is given and any one of you is in a state of major ritual impurity (junub), then he should not fast that day.

And the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty has one hundred, that is, ninety-nine beautiful names. Whoever enumerates them will enter Paradise. Indeed, Allah is Odd and He loves the odd number.

And the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If any of you sees someone above him in body and wealth, then he should remember to always look at the one who is below him.

And the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When a dog licks the utensil of any one of you, he should wash that utensil seven times.

And the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: By Him in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad (peace be upon him), it is my wish that I order my young men to collect firewood, then I order a man to lead the people in prayer, then I go to those (absent) people's houses and set them on fire.

And the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have been helped through awe, and I have been sent with concise and comprehensive speech."

And the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When the strap of the shoe of any one of you breaks, he should not walk with a shoe on one foot and the other foot bare; either wear both shoes or take off both.

And the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: Allah the Exalted has stated, "Whatever I have not decreed, the vow of the son of Adam cannot bring it to him. However, through a vow, I extract wealth from a miser; he gives Me what he would never give in his state of miserliness." And the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: Allah the Exalted says, "(O son of Adam) spend, I will spend on you."

And the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called war a stratagem.

And the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Once Jesus (peace be upon him) saw a man stealing, so he said to him, "Are you stealing?" He immediately replied, "By Him besides whom there is no deity, I am not." Jesus (peace be upon him) said, "I believe in Allah (by Whom you have sworn) and I consider my eyes to be mistaken."

And the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I do not give you anything nor do I withhold anything. I am only a treasurer; wherever I am commanded, I place it there.

And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Imam is appointed only so that he may be followed, so do not differ from the Imam. When he says the takbeer, you also say the takbeer. When he bows (in ruku'), you also bow. When he says "Sami' Allahu liman hamidah," you say "Allahumma Rabbana lakal hamd." When he prostrates, you also prostrate. And when he prays sitting, then all of you should also pray sitting.

And the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Keep the rows straight in prayer, for the straightening of the rows is the beauty of the prayer."

And the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: Once, in the realm of souls, there was a debate between Hazrat Adam and Hazrat Musa (peace be upon them). Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) said: O Adam! You are our father; you made us ashamed and caused us to be expelled from Paradise? Hazrat Adam (peace be upon him) replied: O Musa, Allah chose you to speak with Him directly, and you blame me for something which Allah had decreed for me forty years before my creation? In this way, Hazrat Adam (peace be upon him) prevailed over Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him).
