Hadith 6834
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever attributes himself to anyone other than his father will not even smell the fragrance of Paradise, even though the fragrance of Paradise can be perceived from a distance of seventy years."
Hadith 6835
It is narrated from Rasheed Hujairi’s father that a man said to Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him): “On the day of the Battle of Yarmouk, please pardon me for any harm that came to you from me, and tell me a hadith that you yourself heard from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).” He replied: “I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) say: ‘A Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand other Muslims are safe.’”
Hadith 6836
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
Hadith 6837
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Protect yourself from oppression, for oppression will be darkness on the Day of Resurrection. Protect yourself from indecency, for Allah does not like any kind of indecency, whether openly or secretly. Also protect yourself from miserliness, for miserliness destroyed those before you. It was miserliness that led them to sever family ties, so they broke their relationships. It was miserliness that commanded them to hoard their wealth and possessions, so they did so. It was miserliness that led them to the path of sins, so they began to commit sins."
Meanwhile, a man stood up and asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Which Muslim is the best?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "The one from whose tongue and hand other Muslims are safe." Another man stood up and asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Which migration is the best?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "That you leave those things which your Lord dislikes. And migration is of two types: the migration of the city dweller and the migration of the villager. The migration of the villager is that when he is invited, he accepts, and when he is commanded, he obeys. The trial of the city dweller is greater, and his reward is also greater."
Hadith 6838
Masruq (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once I was sitting with Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him). He began mentioning Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) and said: "He is such a man whom I will always love. I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'Learn the Qur'an from four people,' and he mentioned Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) first, then Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him), then Salim (may Allah be pleased with him), the freed slave of Sayyiduna Abu Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him), and Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him)."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: Whoever seeks fame among people through his deeds, Allah hands him over to that (fame) and humiliates and disgraces him. Upon hearing this, tears began to flow from the eyes of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "One of the major sins is that a man abuses his parents." The people asked, "O Messenger of Allah! How can a man abuse his own parents?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He abuses another man's father, and that man in return abuses his father; and he abuses another man's mother, and that man in return abuses his mother."
Hadith 6841
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever recites the Qur'an in less than three days has not understood it."

Wahb bin Jabir says that once a slave of Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him, "I want to stay here in Bayt al-Maqdis for a month." He replied, "Have you arranged for the food needs of your family for this month?" He said, "No." He replied, "Then go to your family and make arrangements for them, because I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say that it is enough for a man to be considered sinful if he neglects those whose provision he is responsible for (such as weak parents and wife and children)."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "Recite the Qur'an once a month." I said, "I have strength for more than that." I kept requesting continuously until the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Recite the Qur'an in five days, and fast three days in a month." I said, "I have strength for more than that." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then fast in the manner that is most beloved to Allah, and it is the way of Sayyiduna Dawood (peace be upon him): he would fast one day and leave fasting the next day."
Hadith 6844
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "People of two different religions cannot inherit from one another."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that some people were sitting near the door of the Prophet’s Mosque. During this, they differed among themselves regarding the interpretation of a verse of the Qur’an. The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, heard their voices and came out. It seemed as if red pomegranate juice had been squeezed on the blessed face of the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. He said: “Is this what you have been commanded to do? Have you been sent with this, that you strike the Book of Allah against one another? The nations before you were destroyed only because of this. Therefore, act upon whatever knowledge you have, and whatever you do not know, ask its scholar about it.”
Hadith 6846

Abu Rashid Habraani (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once I was present in the service of Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) and I requested him to narrate to us a hadith which you yourself heard from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Upon this, he placed a scroll before me and said: "This is the scroll which the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had me write." When I looked, it was written in it that once Sayyiduna Siddiq Akbar (may Allah be pleased with him) requested the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): O Messenger of Allah! Teach me a supplication which I may recite morning and evening. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Abu Bakr, recite this supplication: 'O Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen, there is no deity except You, You are the Lord and Owner of everything. I seek refuge in You from the evil of my own self, from the evil of Satan and his shirk, and from committing any sin against myself or dragging any Muslim into it.'"

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were descending from Thaniyyah Adhakhir with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) looked towards me and saw that I was wearing a sheet dyed with safflower. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What is this?" I understood that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not like it. So, when I reached my home, the family members were heating the oven. I wrapped that sheet and threw it into the oven. Then I presented myself before the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "What did you do with that sheet?" I replied that I sensed your displeasure, so when I reached home and found the family members heating the oven, I threw that sheet into it. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Why did you not make any member (woman) of your household wear that sheet?"
Hadith 6852M
Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) also mentioned that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was descending with him from "Thaniyyah Adhkhir," he led him in prayer behind a wall, which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had taken as a sutrah in the direction of the qiblah. During the prayer, an animal came and began to pass in front of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) kept pushing it away and kept moving closer to the wall, until I saw that the blessed stomach of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) touched the wall, and the animal passed behind the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Hadith 6853
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: There are forty good deeds, the highest of which is giving a goat as a gift. Whoever acts upon any one of these good deeds, hoping for its reward and believing in Allah’s promise, Allah will grant him entry into Paradise.
Hadith 6854
Abdullah bin Dailami, may Allah have mercy on him, who lived in Bayt al-Maqdis, says: Once I asked Sayyiduna Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, "O Abdullah bin Amr, have you heard the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, say anything regarding the one who drinks alcohol?" He replied: "Yes! I heard the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, say: Whoever drinks a sip of alcohol, his prayer is not accepted for forty days."
Hadith 6854M
And I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say that Allah Almighty created His creation in darkness, then on that day He cast His light upon them. Whoever received that light was guided, and whoever did not receive that light went astray. For this reason, I say that the pens have dried after writing according to Allah’s knowledge.
Hadith 6855
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The world is a prison and famine for the believer. When he leaves the world, he will also be freed from the prison and famine."
Hadith 6856
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If a stone as small as this"—and he pointed towards his skull—"were to be thrown from the sky towards the earth, which is a distance of five hundred years, it would reach the earth before nightfall. And if it were thrown from the end of the chain, it would keep rolling for forty days and nights continuously, and only after that would it reach its origin."
Hadith 6857
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.

Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) and Nauf gathered at a certain place. Nauf said: "We have been informed that Allah Almighty said to His angels: 'Call My servants.' The angels submitted: 'O Lord, how can this be when there are seven heavens and beyond them the Throne as a barrier between them?' Allah said: 'When they say La ilaha illallah Allah, their call will be accepted.' Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: One day, we performed the Maghrib prayer with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Some people, among whom I was also included, sat waiting for the next prayer. After a short while, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was seen coming towards us quickly. The scene is still preserved in my eyes that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had lifted his lower garment so that it would be easier to walk. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reached us and said: 'Glad tidings to you! Your Lord has opened a door of the sky and is boasting about you before the angels, saying: My servants have performed one obligatory act and are waiting for the next one.'"
Hadith 6861
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever kills even a sparrow unjustly, Allah Almighty will question him about it on the Day of Resurrection." Someone asked, "O Messenger of Allah! What is its right?" He said: "He should slaughter it, not seize it by the neck and break it."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said to me: "I have come to know that you fast all day and stand in prayer all night. Do not do so, for your body has a right over you, your eyes have a right over you, and your wife has a right over you. Fast only three days in every month; this will be equal to fasting all the time." I said, "I have strength for more than this." The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Then adopt the way of Sayyiduna Dawud, peace be upon him: fast one day and leave one day." Later, Sayyiduna Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, said: "I used to do so. I wish I had accepted the concession of the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him."

I submitted, "I feel I have strength for more than that." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) kept granting me concessions until, in the end, he said: "Then fast one day and leave one day." And he said: "Recite the Qur'an once in a month." He submitted, "I have strength for more than that." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) kept granting me concessions until, in the end, he said: "Then complete it in three nights."
Hadith 6864
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There are four traits; whoever possesses them is a pure hypocrite, and whoever has any one of them has a characteristic of hypocrisy until he gives it up: when he speaks, he lies; when he makes a promise, he breaks it; when he makes a covenant, he betrays it; and when he quarrels, he abuses."
Hadith 6865
A noble man from Nakh'a says that once I entered the mosque of Al-Aqsa and offered two rak'ahs behind a pillar. During this, a man came and stood near me to pray. People turned their attention towards him. Later, it became known that he was Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him). A messenger from Yazid came to him and said that the Commander of the Faithful is calling you. He replied: "This person prevents me from narrating hadiths to you just as his father used to prevent me, and I heard your Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicating: O Allah, I seek refuge in You from knowledge that is not beneficial, from a supplication that is not accepted, from a heart that is devoid of humility and submission, and from a soul that is never satisfied. I seek refuge in You from these four things."
Hadith 6866
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The one who fasts continuously has not truly fasted."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the blessed era of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), there was a solar eclipse. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up for prayer, so we also stood with him. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood for such a long time that we began to think that perhaps the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would not bow (ruku). Then he bowed, and while raising his head from ruku, it did not seem as if he would rise. Then when he raised his head from ruku and went into prostration (sajdah), it did not seem as if he would lift his head from prostration. And in the second rak'ah, he did the same, and the sun became bright.
Hadith 6869
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that a man came to the service of the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, to pledge allegiance and said: "I have come to pledge allegiance to you for migration, and (I have made a great sacrifice that) I have left my parents weeping." The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Go back and make them laugh just as you made them weep."
Hadith 6870
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whenever any person among the people suffers any physical harm, Allah commands the guardian angels to continue recording all the good deeds that My servant used to do every day and night, as long as he remains in My protection."

Shahr bin Hawshab says that when news of the allegiance to Yazid bin Muawiyah reached us, I came to Syria. I found out about a place where Nauf used to stand and narrate (hadith). I went to him, and meanwhile, when a man arrived, there was a commotion among the people. He was wearing a cloak. When I looked, it was Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him). Upon seeing him, Nauf stopped narrating out of respect for him, and Sayyiduna Abdullah began to say: I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Soon after this migration, there will be another migration in which people will gather in the place of migration of Sayyiduna Ibrahim (peace be upon him). Only the worst people will remain on earth; the earth will throw them out, and Allah will not like them. The fire will gather them together with monkeys and pigs. Wherever they spend the night, the fire will also spend the night with them, and wherever they take a midday nap, it will also take a nap there. Whoever lags behind will be consumed by it.
And I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Soon, from the eastern side, some people will emerge from my Ummah who will recite the Qur'an, but it will not go below their throats. Whenever a generation of them appears, it will be cut off. This sentence was repeated ten times, until in their last group, the Dajjal will emerge.
