I replied that I wanted to benefit from its shade. He asked: Any other purpose besides this? I replied: No other purpose besides this. He said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: When you are in Mina between the two rocky areas—saying this, he, peace and blessings be upon him, pointed with his hand towards the east and blew—there will come a valley called Sarar. Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) replied: "Allah has commanded the fulfillment of vows, and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has forbidden us from fasting on the Day of Sacrifice (the tenth of Dhul-Hijjah)." That man thought perhaps Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) had not heard him, so he repeated his question. One day, I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to ask about this issue. At that time, he (peace be upon him) was in the house of Sayyidah Hafsa (may Allah be pleased with her). I said to him, "O Messenger of Allah! Wait, I want to ask you about this issue: I sell camels in Baqi', and in exchange for one thing I take another—what do you say about this?" He (peace be upon him) said: "If it is at the current day's rate, then there is no harm, but do not separate from your companion until there remains no transaction between you and him."
Hadith 6240
Abdullah bin Sharik Amiri (may Allah have mercy on him) says that someone asked Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), Ibn Abbas, and Ibn Zubair (may Allah be pleased with them) about performing Umrah before Hajj in Hajj Tamattu’. I heard these gentlemen replying: Yes! This is the Sunnah of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). When you reach Makkah Mukarramah, perform Tawaf of the House of Allah, perform Sa’i between Safa and Marwah, and become halal (exit Ihram). If this is done even one day before the Day of Arafah, then enter into Ihram for Hajj. In this way, your Hajj and Umrah will be combined.
