Hadith 5883
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The sun and the moon are not eclipsed because of anyone's death or life; they are two signs among the signs of Allah. So when you see them eclipsed, turn towards prayer."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that initially the prayers were fifty, the command for ghusl after janabah was to perform it seven times, and in case urine got on the clothes, the command was to wash it seven times. Upon the continuous request of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the number of prayers was reduced to five, ghusl after janabah was made only once, and washing the urine-affected garment was also prescribed only once.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that there was a date-palm trunk in the Prophet’s Mosque, against which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to lean while addressing the people on Fridays or on some important occasion. One day, some people said: O Messenger of Allah! Should we not make something for you according to your stature? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “There is no harm in doing so.” So they made a pulpit of three steps for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he sat upon it. Seeing this, the trunk began to weep like a cow weeps, and its weeping was due to the grief of separation from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) embraced it to his chest and stroked it with his hand until it became calm.

Muhammad bin Amr, may Allah have mercy on him, says that once we were sitting in the market with Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, and on one side of him Salamah bin Azraq was also sitting. Meanwhile, a funeral passed by, behind which the sounds of weeping were coming. Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, said: If these people stop crying and wailing, it would be better for their deceased. Salamah bin Azraq said: Abu Abdur Rahman! Are you saying this? He replied: Yes! I am the one saying this, because once someone from the family of Marwan died, and the women gathered and started weeping over him. Marwan said: Abdul Malik! Go and stop these women from weeping. Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, was present there. I myself heard him saying: Leave them, for once, when someone from the family of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, passed away, the women gathered and started weeping. Sayyiduna Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, stood up and began to scold and stop them. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "O Ibn Khattab! Leave them, for the eye sheds tears and the heart grieves, and the wound is still fresh." He asked: Did you yourself hear this narration from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him? He replied: Yes! Salamah asked: Does Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrate this from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him? He replied: Yes! Upon this, he said: Allah and His Messenger know best.
Hadith 5890
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Allah Almighty intends to send punishment upon a people, then punishment descends upon all the inhabitants there; then they will be resurrected according to their deeds." (In the punishment, both the righteous and the wicked will be included; reward and punishment will be according to deeds.)
Hadith 5891
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that whatever the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding the "izar" (lower garment), the same ruling applies to the "qamees" (shirt/trousers) as well.
Hadith 5892
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed the Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha prayers (in the valley of Batha), spent the night there, then entered Makkah Mukarramah and performed the Tawaf of the House of Allah.
Hadith 5893

So we went to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and met him. We said: O Messenger of Allah! We are those who fled and ran away. I said: "I heard him say that it means abundant good." Muharib said: "Subhan Allah! The statement of Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, cannot be so insignificant. I heard Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, say that when Surah al-Kawthar was revealed, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'Al-Kawthar is the name of a river in Paradise, whose water flows over pebbles of pearls and rubies. Its water is sweeter than honey, whiter than milk, colder than snow, and more fragrant than musk.'" He thinks that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) declared nabidh in earthenware jars to be forbidden." Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "He has spoken the truth, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) declared it forbidden."
