He replied, "Do not ever think that I would falsely attribute something to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while I have heard it myself. Which hadith is it that you have heard from me?" I said, "I have heard that you say there are three types of people whom Allah loves, and three types of people whom Allah dislikes?" He said, "Yes! I have said this, and I have heard it from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)." I asked, "Who are those whom Allah loves?" He replied, "First, the person who meets the enemy with a group and stands firm before them until he is martyred or his companions are granted victory. Second, those people who set out on a journey, their journey becomes long, and they wish to camp in a place by evening, so they camp, and one of them separates himself and starts praying until, when it is time to depart, he wakes them up. Third, the person who has a neighbor who causes him harm, but he is patient over his neighbor's harm until death separates them." I asked, "Who are those whom Allah dislikes?" He replied, "The trader who swears oaths, the miser who boasts of his favors, and the poor person who is arrogant." I asked, "O Abu Dharr! What wealth do you have?" He replied, "A few goats and some camels." I said, "I am not asking about that, I am asking about gold and silver." He replied, "What is in the morning is not there in the evening, and what is in the evening is not there in the morning." I asked, "What is your relationship with your Qurayshi brothers?" He replied, "By Allah, I neither ask them for anything of this world nor about religion, and I will continue to do so until I meet Allah and His Messenger." He repeated this sentence three times.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty says, "O My servants! All of you are sinners except the one whom I grant well-being, so seek forgiveness from Me, I will forgive you. And whoever believes that I have the power to forgive and seeks forgiveness from Me through My power, I forgive him and do not mind. Each one of you is astray except the one whom I guide, so seek guidance from Me, I will grant you guidance. Each one of you is poor except the one whom I make rich, so seek richness from Me, I will grant you richness. If all of you, the first and the last, the living and the dead, the moist and the dry, were to become like the heart of My most wicked servant, it would not decrease My kingdom by as much as the wing of a mosquito. And if all of you, the first and the last, the living and the dead, the moist and the dry, were to gather upon the heart of My most pious servant, it would not increase My kingdom by as much as the wing of a mosquito. If all of you, the first and the last, the living and the dead, the moist and the dry, were to gather together and each one of you were to ask Me for whatever his desire reaches, and I were to give each one what he asked for, it would not diminish My treasures any more than if one of you were to pass by the seashore, dip a needle into it, and then take it out—My kingdom would not be diminished by even that much. For I am exceedingly generous, great, and independent. My giving is by a single word, and My punishment also comes by a single word. When I intend something, I say 'Be,' and it comes into existence."
