. 20790 Abu Dharr said: "Indeed Allah, Mighty and Majestic, says: 'O My servants, all of you are sinners except the one whom I have pardoned.'" He mentioned something similar, except that he said: "That is because I am Generous, Possessor, Noble; indeed, My giving is but a word."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that once he became obliged to perform ghusl. In that state, he came to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had water brought for him. He performed ghusl behind a curtain. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: Pure earth is a means of ablution for a Muslim, even if he does not find water for ten years. When water is found, he should pour it over his body, for that is better for him.

While you are dying in such a wilderness that I have no means to bury you, nor do I have enough cloth to shroud you.” He said, “Do not weep, and receive glad tidings, for I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: ‘Whoever dies among two or three Muslim children, and he bears their death with patience seeking reward, he will never see the fire of Hell.’ And I also heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: ‘One of you will surely die in a wilderness, and a group of believers will be present with him.’ Now, each of those people has died in some city or among a group, and I am the one who is dying in the wilderness. By Allah, I am neither lying nor has a lie been told to me.”

When the muezzin intended to give the adhan for Zuhr prayer, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him, "Give the adhan after cooling down." This happened two or three times, until we began to see the shade of the mounds. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also said: "The intensity of heat is from the effect of the heat of Hell, so when the heat is severe, perform the prayer after cooling down."

And O son of Adam! If you come to Me with sins filling the earth, but you do not associate anyone with Me, then I will meet you with forgiveness filling the earth.

The narrator asked: What is the difference between a black dog and a red dog? Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: Dear nephew! I also asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) the same question as you have asked me, so the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The black dog is a devil.

He repeated this sentence once or twice.

I will fight with my sword.” The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Shall I not tell you a better way than this? Listen to them, obey them, and go wherever they take you.”

The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "Then, wherever you find the time for prayer, perform it there, for the whole earth is a mosque."

Abdullah bin Samit says that once he was with Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) when his stipend arrived. He had a slave girl with him who began to arrange his necessities with that money. She had seven coins left. Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) ordered her to exchange his money (to get change). I said to him, "If you had saved this money, it could have been useful in some need or when a guest arrived." He replied, "My beloved Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) advised me that any gold or silver that is sealed and kept is a spark of fire for its owner until he spends it in the way of Allah."

Thus, his minor sins will be brought before him and his major sins will be concealed. He will be asked, "Did you do such and such on such and such a day?" He will confess to every sin and will not deny any of them, and he will be fearful because of his major sins. At that time, it will be commanded, "For every sin, give him a good deed." He will say, "There are many sins of mine that I do not see here." Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) says that at this, I saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) laughing so much that his blessed teeth became visible.

Then he said, "Now look and see who appears to be the lowest in rank." I looked around and saw a man wearing old clothes, so I pointed towards him. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "This man, on the Day of Resurrection, will be better in the sight of Allah than the first man, even if the earth is filled with the likes of the first man."

The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) repeated his statement three times and said: The one who lets his lower garment hang below his ankles, the one who sells his goods by swearing a false oath, and the one who reminds others of his favors.
