حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، وابن جريج ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، هَلْ يُصَلِّي الرَّجُلُ فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَوَلِكُلِّكُمْ ثَوْبَانِ ؟ ! " . قَالَ فِي حَدِيثِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ : حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ حَدَّثَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a man asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), can a person pray in a single garment?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "Does each one of you have two garments?"
