(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ : " كَانَ يُصَلِّي فِي السَّفَرِ صَلَاتَهُ بِاللَّيْلِ ، وَيُوتِرُ ، رَاكِبًا عَلَى بَعِيرِهِ ، لَا يُبَالِي حَيْثُ وَجَّهَ بَعِيرُهُ " ، وَيَذْكُرُ ذَلِكَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ مُوسَى : وَرَأَيْتُ سَالِمًا يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ .
Salim (may Allah have mercy on him) says that Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to perform the night prayer and witr while riding on his camel during travel, and he did not mind in which direction it was facing, and he mentioned this regarding the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
