(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ , وَعَتَّابٌ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الصَّبَّاحِ الْأَيْلِيُّ ، سَمِعْتُ يَزِيدَ بْنَ أَبِي سُمَيَّةَ , يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ , يَقُولُ : " مَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْإِزَارِ فَهُوَ فِي الْقَمِيصِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that whatever the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding the izar (lower garment), the same ruling applies to the qamees (shirt) and shalwar (trousers) as well.
