(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : لَا وَأَبِي ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَهْ ، إِنَّهُ مَنْ حَلَفَ بِشَيْءٍ دُونَ اللَّهِ ، فَقَدْ أَشْرَكَ " .
On one occasion, Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) swore by his father. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stopped him and said: Whoever swears by anything other than Allah has committed shirk.
