مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَا

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنْ صَالِحٍ مَوْلَى التَّوْءَمَةِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ " أَنَّهُمْ تَمَارَوْا فِي صَوْمِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ ، فَأَرْسَلَتْ أُمُّ الْفَضْلِ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِلَبَنٍ فَشَرِبَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that on the day of Arafah, the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) had doubt regarding the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) fasting, so Sayyidah Umm al-Fadl (may Allah be pleased with her) sent milk to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) drank it (and the companions’ doubt was removed).
