(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " خَيْرُ أَكْحَالِكُمُ الْإِثْمِدُ عِنْدَ النَّوْمِ ، يُنْبِتُ الشَّعْرَ ، وَيَجْلُو الْبَصَرَ ، وَخَيْرُ ثِيَابِكُمْ الْبَيَاضُ ، فَالْبَسُوهَا ، وَكَفِّنُوا فِيهَا مَوْتَاكُمْ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best kohl among you is antimony, which, when applied at bedtime, sharpens the eyesight and grows the eyelashes. Wear white clothes, for they are the best, and shroud your dead in them."
