وَمِنْ حَدِيثِ جَرِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
And from the hadith of Jarir ibn Abdullah from the Prophet (peace be upon him)
Musnad Ahmad 19239 — And from the hadith of Jarir ibn Abdullah
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ ، عَنْ جَرِيرٍ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا أَبَقَ إِلَى أَرْضِ الشِّرْكِ يَعْنِي الْعَبْدَ فَقَدْ حَلَّ بِنَفْسِهِ " . وَرُبَّمَا رَفَعَهُ شَرِيكٌ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When someone flees and joins the enemy, his blood becomes lawful.
