Musnad Ahmad 18816 — Hadith of Jundub al-Bajali
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَلَّامُ بْنُ أَبِي مُطِيعٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيِّ ، عَنْ جُنْدُبٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اقْرَءُوا الْقُرْآنَ مَا ائْتَلَفَتْ عَلَيْهِ قُلُوبُكُمْ ، فَإِذَا اخْتَلَفْتُمْ فَقُومُوا " . قَالَ يَعْنِي عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ : وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Recite the Noble Qur'an as long as you feel enthusiasm in your hearts, and when this feeling begins to diminish, then get up.
