Musnad Ahmad 18814 — Hadith of Jundub al-Bajali
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، قَالَا : أخبرنا دَاوُدُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي هِنْدٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ جُنْدُبِ بْنِ سُفْيَانَ الْبَجَلِيِّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " مَنْ صَلَّى صَلَاةَ الصُّبْحِ ، فَهُوَ فِي ذِمَّةِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، فَانْظُرْ يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ لَا يَطْلُبَنَّكَ اللَّهُ مِنْ ذِمَّتِهِ بِشَيْءٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever performs the Fajr prayer comes under Allah’s protection, so do not take Allah’s protection lightly (as insignificant), and He should not demand from you anything that is under His responsibility.
