Musnad Ahmad 17406 — Hadith of Uqbah ibn Amir Al-Juhani
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، أَنَّ مِشْرَحَ بْنَ هَاعَانَ أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ أَرَقُّ قُلُوبًا ، وَأَلْيَنُ أَفْئِدَةً ، وَأَنْجَعُ طَاعَةً " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: The people of Yemen are tender-hearted, soft-hearted, and very obedient.
