Musnad Ahmad 17374 — Hadith of Uqbah ibn Amir Al-Juhani
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، عَنْ ضَمْضَمِ بْنِ زُرْعَةَ ، عَنْ شُرَيْحِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ ، عَمَّنْ حَدَّثَهُ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ أَوَّلَ عَظْمٍ مِنَ الْإِنْسَانِ يَتَكَلَّمُ يَوْمَ يُخْتَمُ عَلَى الْأَفْوَاهِ ، فَخْذُهُ مِنَ الرِّجْلِ الشِّمَالِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The day when a seal will be set upon the mouth, the first bone of the human body to speak will be his left thigh.
