Musnad Ahmad 17373 — Hadith of Uqbah ibn Amir Al-Juhani
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُشَّانَةَ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تُكْرِهُوا الْبَنَاتِ ، فَإِنَّهُنَّ الْمُؤْنِسَاتُ الْغَالِيَاتُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Do not consider daughters as a burden, for they are extremely precious companions in grief.
