Musnad Ahmad 17135 — Hadith of Shaddad ibn Aws
حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ بَهْرَامَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شَهْرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ حَوْشَبٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ غَنْمٍ ، أَنَّ شَدَّادَ بْنَ أَوْسٍ حَدَّثَهُ ، عَنْ حَدِيثِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَيَحْمِلَنَّ شِرَارُ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ عَلَى سَنَنِ الَّذِينَ خَلَوْا مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ حَذْوَ الْقُذَّةِ بِالْقُذَّةِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Shaddad bin Aws (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The worst people of this Ummah will surely adopt the ways of the earlier People of the Book completely."
