Musnad Ahmad 16467 — Hadith of Abdullah ibn Zayd ibn Asim al-Mazini
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، أَنَّ حَبَّانَ بْنَ وَاسِعٍ الْأَنْصَارِيّ حَدَّثَهُ ، أن أباه ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ الْمَازِنِيَّ ، يَذْكُرُ " أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَوَضَّأَ ، فَمَضْمَضَ ، ثُمَّ اسْتَنْشَقَ ، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا ، وَيَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى ثَلَاثًا ، وَالْأُخْرَى ثَلَاثًا ، وَمَسَحَ رَأْسَهُ بِمَاءٍ غَيْرِ فَضْلِ يَدِهِ ، وَغَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ حَتَّى أَنْقَاهُمَا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performing ablution at Juhfa. He rinsed his mouth, put water into his nose, washed his face three times, washed his right hand three times, then wiped his head with fresh water other than the moisture remaining on his hands, and then thoroughly washed both his feet.
