Musnad Ahmad 15314 — Musnad of Hakim ibn Hizam from the Prophet
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَلِيلِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ الْهَاشِمِيِّ ، عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ : رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْبَيِّعَانِ بِالْخِيَارِ مَا لَمْ يَتَفَرَّقَا ، فَإِنْ صَدَقَا وَبَيَّنَا ، رُزِقَا بَرَكَةَ بَيْعِهِمَا ، وَإِنْ كَذَبَا وَكَتَمَا ، مُحِقَ بَرَكَةُ بَيْعِهِمَا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hakim bin Hizam that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The seller and the buyer have the option (to cancel the transaction) as long as they do not separate, and if both speak the truth and clarify everything, they will be blessed in this transaction. But if they lie and conceal something, the blessing of the transaction will be taken away from them.
