(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ جَابِرًا عَنِ التَّصْفِيقِ وَالتَّسْبِيحِ ، قَالَ جَابِرٌ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " التَّصْفِيقُ لِلنِّسَاءِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ ، وَالتَّسْبِيحُ لِلرِّجَالِ " .
Abu al-Zubair asked Sayyiduna Jabir, may Allah be pleased with him, about the issue of Tasbih and Tasfiq: so he replied that I heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, saying that saying "Subhan Allah" in prayer is commanded for men, and clapping softly is commanded for women.
