(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَوْ أَنَّ لِابْنِ آدَمَ وَادِيًا مِنْ مَالٍ ، لَتَمَنَّى وَادِيَيْنِ ، وَلَوْ أَنَّ لَهُ وَادِيَيْنِ ، لَتَمَنَّى ثَالِثًا ، وَلَا يَمْلَأُ جَوْفَ ابْنِ آدَمَ إِلَّا التُّرَابُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If the son of Adam had a valley full of wealth, he would desire to have two; and if he had two, he would desire to have three. And nothing fills the belly of the son of Adam except the dust of the grave.
