(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : مُتْعَتَانِ كَانَتَا عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَنَهَانَا عَنْهُمَا عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ ، فَانْتَهَيْنَا .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that in the blessed era of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), there were two types of Mut'ah. Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) forbade us from both of them, and we refrained.
