(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْفَارُّ مِنَ الطَّاعُونِ كَالْفَارِّ مِنَ الزَّحْفِ ، وَالصَّابِرُ فِيهِ كَالصَّابِرِ فِي الزَّحْفِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The one who flees from the plague is like the one who flees from the battlefield, and the one who remains steadfast in it is like the one who remains steadfast in the battlefield.
