حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ , أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ , عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ , فَاجْلِدُوهُ , فَإِنْ عَادَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ " , فَقَالَ : فِي الرَّابِعَةِ " فَاقْتُلُوهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever drinks alcohol, flog him. If he drinks again, then flog him again. If he drinks a third time, then flog him again. And if he drinks a fourth time, then kill him.
