حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ , حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِسْحَاقَ , عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ يَسَارٍ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَعَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ وَغَيْرِهِ , قَالُوا : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ , فَلَا يَضَعَنَّ يَدَهُ فِي الْغِسْلِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا , فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you wakes up from his sleep, he should not put his hand into a vessel until he has washed it three times, for he does not know where his hand spent the night.
