Ruling on Mudhihah Wound on the Face

Hazrat Amr bin Shu'aib narrates from his father, and he from his grandfather, that Hazrat Abu Bakr and Umar said that in any wound where the bone becomes visible, the face and the head are equal.

It is narrated from Hazrat Umar bin Maimoon that Umar bin Abdul Aziz wrote that in a wound where the bone becomes visible, the head and the face are equal; for this, there are five camels.

Hazrat Sulayman bin Yasar said that a wound on the face in which the bone becomes visible is, in ruling, equal to a wound on the head in which the bone becomes visible. However, if a defect is created on the face, then compensation will be according to the extent of the defect, until it reaches half the compensation of a wound in which the bone becomes visible.

Hazrat Sha'bi said that a wound exposing the bone pertains to the head and face.

Hazrat Mak'hool said that in a wound that exposes the bone, the head and the face are equal, except that if there is a defect in the face, then there will be an increase according to the extent of the defect.

Hazrat Zaid said that in a wound that exposes the bone, the face, head, and nose are equal.

Ibrahim says that in a wound that exposes the bone, the face and the head are equal.

Hasan said that a wound on the face that exposes the bone is just like a wound on the head that exposes the bone.

Hazrat Shurayh and Hasan have stated that a wound on the face that exposes the bone is equivalent to a wound on the head that exposes the bone.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said that a wound which exposes the bone is the same in this place and in that place, and Mu'tamir indicated with his hand towards his face and head.

It is narrated from Qatadah that Umar bin Abdul Aziz said: Five, five.

Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib said that for a wound on the head that exposes the bone, there are five camels, and for one that exposes the bone on the face, there are ten camels.

Hazrat Amir said that if a wound on the face exposes the bone, then there are two blood monies for it.
