٩٧١٣ - حدثنا هشيم عن (أبي) (١) بشر عن أبي عمير (بن) (٢) أنس قال: حدثتني عمومتي من الأنصار قالوا: (أغمي) (٣) علينا هلال شوال فأصبحنا (صواما) (٤)، فجاء ركب آخر النهار فشهدوا عند رسول اللَّه ﷺ أنهم رأوا الهلال بالأمس، فأمر رسول اللَّه ﷺ الناس أن يفطروا ويخرجوا إلى عيدهم من الغد (٥).
Abu Umayr bin Anas says: My paternal uncles from the Ansar narrated to me: Once the moon of Shawwal was hidden from us at night, so the next morning we were fasting. In the latter part of the day some riders came and testified before the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that they had seen the moon the previous day. He ordered the people to break their fast, and said that the next day the people should come out to the Eid prayer ground for the Eid prayer.
