Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 7828 — Those who disliked that

Al-Hasan was asked about a woman who vowed that if her husband was released from prison, she would pray two rak'ahs in every mosque of Basra in which congregational prayer is held: what is the ruling on this vow? He said: She should pray in the mosque of her own people, for she does not have the strength to fulfil this vow. If Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) had seen her, he would have struck her on the head.
