Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 7213 — What is supplicated in the qunut

Ubayd bin Umayr said: I heard Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) reciting the qunut supplication in the Fajr prayer. First he said: "Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim (In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful). O Allah, we seek Your help, we believe in You, we rely upon You, we praise You for Your goodness and we are not ungrateful to You." Then he recited: "Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim. O Allah, You alone we worship, for You we pray and before You we prostrate; towards You we strive; we hope for Your mercy and we fear Your punishment, and indeed Your punishment is going to reach the disbelievers. O Allah, punish the disbelievers among the People of the Book who bar others from Your path."
