٦٥٤٩ - حدثنا وكيع قال: حدثنا مسعر عن زيد (١) العمي عن أبي الصديق الناجي قال: رأى ابن عمر قومًا اضطجعوا بعد ركعتي الفجر فأرسل إليهم ⦗٣٩٦⦘ فنهاهم فقالوا: (نريد) (٢) بذلك السنة، فقال ابن عمر: ارجع إليهم فأخبرهم أنها بدعة (٣).
Abu al-Siddiq al-Naji said: Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) saw some people who lay down after praying the two sunnah rak'ahs of Fajr. He sent a man to forbid them from it, and they said: We only wish to act upon the Sunnah. Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said (to the messenger): Go back to them and tell them that it is an innovation (bid'ah).
