Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 40407 — Reports on the tribulation

It is narrated from Zayd bin Wahb that he said: Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked: "What are the stopping and the rising of fitnah?" He said: "The rising of fitnah means the sword coming out of its sheath, and its stopping means the sword going back into its sheath."
