It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned a land called Basrah or Busayrah, on one side of which is a river called Dijlah, with many date palms. The Banu Qantura' will descend there (a name given to the Turks; according to the statement of al-Hakim, it means the Christians of Rome). The people will split into three groups: one group will join its origins and will perish; a second group will look to themselves and will disbelieve; and one group will put their children behind their backs and fight. Those of them who are killed will be martyrs, and Allah Almighty will grant victory to those of them who remain.
