Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 36739 — Reports on the description

Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) recited the verse of the Noble Qur'an "Jannat Adn" (Gardens of Eden) [Al-Tawbah: 73] on the pulpit and said: "Do you people know what Jannat Adn is?" He said: "It is a palace in Paradise that has five thousand gates, and at every gate there are twenty-five thousand houris. Only a prophet will enter it. Congratulations and glad tidings to the occupant of this grave" (and he pointed to the grave of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)). "And a truthful one will enter it: glad tidings to Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him). And a martyr will enter it, and how can Umar attain martyrdom?" Then he said: "By the One who brought me out of my home at al-Jathamah, He is able to bring that martyrdom to me."
