Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 36721 — Reports on the description

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The rank of the lowest person of Paradise will be this: Allah will turn a man's face away from Hell towards Paradise, and a shady tree will appear before him. That man will say: 'O my Lord! Bring me close to this tree so that I may have its shade.' Allah Almighty will say: 'If I bring you close to it, will you ask Me for anything else?' He will say: 'No, by Your Might, I will not.' Allah Almighty will bring that man close to the tree. Then another tree will be shown to him, shady and bearing fruit. That man will say: 'O Allah! Bring me close to this tree so that I may have its shade and eat its fruit.' Allah Almighty will say: 'If I grant you this, will you ask Me for anything else again?' He will say: 'No, by Your Might.' Allah Almighty will bring him close to that tree. Then another tree will appear before him, shady, bearing fruit and having water. That man will say: 'O Allah! Bring me close to this tree so that I may have its shade, eat its fruit and drink its water.' Allah Almighty will say: 'If I give it to you, will you ask Me again?' That man will say: 'By Your Might, I will not ask for anything else.' Allah Almighty will bring him close to that tree. Then Allah Almighty will reveal the gate of Paradise to that man, and he will say: 'O Allah! Bring me close to the gate of Paradise so that I may sit under its threshold and look at its inhabitants.' Allah Almighty will bring him close. Then that man will see the people of Paradise and the blessings of Paradise, and he will say: 'O Allah! Admit me into Paradise.' Allah Almighty will admit him into Paradise. When he enters Paradise he will say: 'This is mine, and this too is mine.' Allah Almighty will say: 'Make your wish.' He will make his wish, and Allah will remind him: 'Ask for such and such,' until all his wishes are fulfilled. Then Allah Almighty will say: 'This is yours, and ten times the like of it besides.' Then he will enter his house, and his two wives from among the wide-eyed houris will come to him and say: 'All praise is for Allah, who has chosen you for us and us for you.' That man of Paradise will say: 'No one has been given the like of what I have been given.'"
