Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 331 — Those who permitted ablution
٣٣١ - حدثنا أبو الأحوص عن سماك عن رجل من أهل المدينة قال: وضع لعبد اللَّه بن عمر طهوره، فشربت منه السنور، فجاء عبد اللَّه ليتوضأ منه، فقيل له: إن السنور (قد) (١) شربت منه، فقال: إنما هي من أهل البيت (٢).
A man of Madinah narrated that once water for ablution was set out for Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both). A cat put its mouth in that water. When he came to perform ablution, he was told about it, and he said: "The cat is one of the household."
