Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 19213 — A man who gives his wife as a gift
١٩٢١٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا وكيع عن يزيد (بن) (١) إبراهيم عن الحسن عن ⦗٢١٣⦘ رجل من أصحاب النبي ﷺ قال: إن قبلوها فواحدة بائنة وإن لم يقبلوها فواحدة وهو أحق (برجعتها) (٢) (٣).
Al-Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from one of the Companions: If a man gives his wife as a gift to her own family, then if they accept her, it is one irrevocable (ba'in) divorce; and if they do not accept her, it is one divorce and the man has the right to take her back.
