١٩١٣ - حدثنا حفص عن الأعمش عن أبي إسحاق عن عبد خير عن علي قال: لو كان الدين (بالرأي) (١)؛ (كان) (٢) باطن القدمين أولى وأحق بالمسح من ظاهرهما ولكني رأيت النبي ﷺ مسح ظاهرهما (٣).
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: If the religion were based on reason, the underside of the foot would have been more deserving of wiping than its upper side; but I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) wiping over the upper side of the feet.
