حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ عَنْبَسَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَاذَانَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَعْدٍ، امْرَأَةِ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أُمِّ أَنَسٍ، قَالَتْ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ عَيْنِيَ تَغْلِبُنِي عَنْ عِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «عَجِّلِيهَا يَا أُمَّ أَنَسٍ إِذَا مَلَأَ اللَّيْلُ بَطْنَ كُلِّ وَادٍ، فَقَدْ حَلَّ وَقْتُ الصَّلَاةِ فَصَلِّي، وَلَا إِثْمَ عَلَيْكِ»
Sayyidah Umm Anas al-Ansariyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I said: O Messenger of Allah! Sleep overcomes me before the Isha prayer. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Umm Anas! Pray it early; when the night fills every valley, the time of the prayer has come, so pray, and there is no sin upon you."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْأَحْوَلُ، مَوْلَى مَرْوَانِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ أَبِي أَنَسٍ، عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ أُمِّ أَنَسٍ، قَالَتْ: أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقُلْتُ: جَعَلَكَ اللهُ فِي الرَّفِيقِ الْأَعْلَى مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ وَأَنَا مَعَكَ وَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ عَلِّمْنِي عَمَلًا صَالِحًا أَعْمَلُهُ، فَقَالَ: «أَقِيمِي الصَّلَاةَ، فَإِنَّهَا أَفْضَلُ الْجِهَادِ، وَاهْجُرِي الْمَعَاصِي، فَإِنَّهَا أَفْضَلُ الْهِجْرَةِ، وَاذْكُرِي اللهَ كَثِيرًا، فَإِنَّهُ أَحَبُّ الْأَعْمَالِ إِلَى اللهِ أَنْ تَلْقِينَهُ بِهِ»
Sayyidah Umm Anas al-Ansariyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "May Allah place you in the Highest Companionship (al-Rafiq al-A'la) of Paradise, and me with you." And I said: "O Messenger of Allah, teach me a righteous deed that I may do." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Establish the prayer, for it is the best jihad; abandon sins, for that is the best emigration (hijrah); and remember Allah abundantly, for that is the deed most beloved to Allah with which you could meet Him."
